I wouldn’t be surprised if the big ten does barely anything. The Big Ten isn't gonna do a damn thing and everyone who has been following along knows it.
They are going to defer to the NCAA, because the NCAA doesn't need a league vote to drop the hammer that needs dropped on Jimmah. And unfortunately, the NCAA will look at the ledger sheet before they ever look at a rule book and then judge it accordingly.
Like it or not, even with this mountain of evidence of cheating, lying, etc etc, the grease that makes everything move is money. It's absolutely a travesty that tCun is going to get away with this shit. And yeah, that means it's open season so everyone needs to be openly doing this from this point forward. Gotta have an even playing field, right?!
However I actually would be surprised if the NCAA gives them nothing. They’re already under investigation for something else and this new investigation is I think the worst sports corruption scandal in history.
Yes money talks, but if they can hit Alabama, Ohio State, USC and Penn State hard within the last 30 years they’ll certainly hit Michigan hard for what is the biggest competitive advantage issue I’ve ever seen.
So yeah maybe they get off light during the season but there’s no way around something big.
My best case for us is they suspend Harbaugh 2 games and at this point it appears their hissy fit will delay this another week. So I’m thinking he’ll be out for Maryland and OSU if he’s suspended.
Then I think the NCAA is going to hit hard sometime next year. I think 3 years of vacated wins, championships lost, scholarships lost, a fine, and a show cause for lack of control. Then I’m hoping when that happens the big ten then comes back in and indefinitely suspends Jim.
There’s video and photos of this guy on sidelines guys recording Michigan State. There’s no way btw something major isn’t going to be discovered between now and next season. With the NCAA not allowing for “we didn’t know” I fully expect them to pay a pretty steep price. Especially with Michigan not paying the price yet for the other issues.
