Federal "diversity" jurisdiction is based on diverse parties from different states (met, here) involved in a case/controversy of at least 75k. Not sure that's met here.

It is odd, though, that jurisdiction is not addressed in the by laws. I have a hard time understanding how the county Court has jurisdiction over the B1G or how it can enforce an action in the abyss that is central Pennsylvania
That goes back to my question. I'm sure this wouldn't happen. but if the TRO is granted what would stop PSU security or State College ( University Park) police from keeping Harbaugh from entering the stadium saying a local *ichigan court has no jurisdiction? Have to admit, that would make for an interesting day.

Far as I can tell, nothing.

According to the court docket a decision has not yet been filed in the court. My guess is there have been enough commercial contacts by the Conference in the State of -ichigan to subject the Conference to the court's jurisdiction. The problem the judge is having IMO is the 13 page letter sent to the -ichigan AD. The Commissioner knew the weasels would file for an ex-parte TRO and effectively had the Conference's arguments become part of the record through its notice of discipline. This judge is going to have a hard time reaching a conclusion that -ichigan will prevail on the merits after reading the 13 page notice of discipline. Only a few hours left.

Well, it's Harbaugh as plaintiff, not the school, right? I also think irreparable harm is a difficult prong to meet. Especially in Harbaughs case. He's not losing anything by not coaching this game.

My guess is that since this is a TCUN friendly court, they won't release a decision until about 11-11:30 which wouldn't give the B1G time to try to remove it to Federal Court before gametime.

The tCun Board will fire that idiot in a few months, in an attempt to soften the NCAA’s hammer drop.

They are currently being sued by a faculty member named Stephenson, because he was placed on leave, due to sexual harassment allegations. He's saying he wasn't given - due process!

It's a messy story, but my point: They didn't hesitate to suspend an employee, while allegations were being investigated. But now, they're writing public letters, saying that's not the right thing for the B1G to do - while they're being sued for doing it, themselves.

Ok, here is a fun sign my subconscious sent me that I may be spending too much time in this thread.

Had a dream last night, a lot of really weird shit that I can’t even recall except one part (because how could I forget this?) Mr Spock was getting fucked by an Ewok.

Now, I am no dream analyzer but even I get this one: Mr Spock of course represents logic/order/normal people. He’s getting fucked (and not in a consensual, fun way.)

The Ewok has to represent the Cult of Cheating up north, manifested in this case as an Ewok because of how often their absurdity has made me think of the Chewbacca defense.

Mr Spock getting ass hammered by an Ewok. Welcome to the inner workings of what’s left of my mind.

Because of the mind-meld option, nothing happened to Spock that he wasn’t looking for.

If the story is true that the Regents discussed leaving the B1G, then it sounds like the the entire institution is cancerous.
I'll err on the side of optimism. Just because they discussed it doesn't mean that they were all or even a majority were seriously considering it. It may have been a situation where a Regent like the elected ambulance chaser (whose clearly a blind foosball fanboy) brought up the issue. They then discussed it and moved on with no action.
