*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

It's definitely offseason silly season.

They don't need any QB help

HELL OF A QB COMPETITION between these guys

Agree with OP. If Orji can improve his passing game he becomes a two headed monster. Between him, Denegal, Warren, Tuttle, and Davis it will be a hell of a competition.

Alex Orji, a pretty much run only QB who was a 3* #50 QB in his class
Jayden Denegal, a 3* who was the #19 QB in his class
Davis Warren, a walk on who's only other offer I can find out of HS was from Fordham
Jack Tuttle, a Indiana castoff via Utah who has thrown for 6TD/7INT in his career
and True Freshman Jaydn Davis, who scouts weren't too fond of his senior season, had a serious drop in recruiting rankings.

OSU players and fans were at a place not all that long ago, where things were taken for granted and there was a sense of entitlement. All those three stars need a couple years of development. There aren't all sorts of sure shots in the portal, and most are also development pieces.

With that, I admittedly don't know what scum has in the wings. Maybe they have stuff. There have been times in the past few years, when I thought things would fall off and they have not.

This however seems like a huge talent drain going on.
Start with all Michigan has going for them: money, fan base, facilities, media favorites, history. unless the ncaa comes down hard, I’d bet they roll into. Columbus undefeated or one loss.

Idk.... so many losses on both sides for them.

They have Texas in 24. Unlikely undefeated.
Until he screwed up and turned his kid into his OC Ferentz did a good job of keeping Iowa in the bowl picture with 2 and 3 stars and developed many of them into NFL players.

Michigan has been doing the same thing the last three years. No reason to believe that they can’t continue to do it unless they get hammered by the NCAA.

Michigan had good recruiting classes from 2019-2022. They averaged around 10th.
They will have a lot of players drafted this year. Some will be 3 stars, but most will be 4 stars.
Iowa is usually #40ish in recruiting. Not even close.

Not just their Oline but their only 2 WRs who did anything are gone too.

Wilson and Johnson caught 48 and 47 passes, their next best WR was Semaj Morgan, a gadget play slot dot with 22 catches.

So whoever is the next QB not only has a completely brand new OL but also no one anywhere near proven to be any kind of threat at WR. They still have the TE Loveland, but it's easier for defenses to key on him more when you have absolutely nobody threatening at WR.

Once again there is absolutely no excuse for not beating them in Columbus next year, i'd argue if we lose that game every coach whos coaching that day should be given their walking papers on the spot.
All of them… there’s no reason to not stomp these bastards next year.

I would agree but most of their skill players that were the basis of their past couple years are gonzo.

I don't see obvious players just sitting there ready to make a difference. Other than Edwards.

D they should be pretty decent.

Defense should be good but they’ll still have holes and the big issue for them will be depth. They have none.

Dline will likely still be good but not as deep

LBers are a huge question mark

CB depth is bad. Anyone after Johnson is a question mark.

Safety they have a good group returning.

They’ll have a “good” enough defense but it won’t be near as good as 2023s

I can't see Minter staying for another year and his departure would of course be devastating to them. He has no scUM roots and his iron is really hot now. There must be a few NFL teams with their eye on him. Why on Earth would he stay there?

If Harbaugh returns, I think they’ll probably have 9-10 wins going into Columbus but that has more to do with what the rest of the B1G doesn’t have more than what scUM has. 2024 is more like a “good” pre 2020 Harbaugh team than 21-23 teams.

If Harbaugh leaves things get much murkier though.

A lot hinges on QB play too here. I think they have to find a serviceable transfer QB, they aren’t going far with anyone they currently have

If harbaugh leaves chances are his rent a coach Defensive staff from the Raven's follow him or go back pro somwhere else

That’s what I think too.

Offense will be a mess, defense will be good not great, but things get very dicey if Harbaugh returns to the NFL.

If TCUN were to go add someone like Tualia if he can get another year that’d go a very long way for them.
