#8 Ohio State 76, Purdue 57 (Final)

SCARLET SUNDAY!!!!! So they are calling it.

One thing I just want to say and I know Bruce Hooley and Herbstreit have been pounding into the minds of fans is do not leave the game early on Sunday. Even if it is a blowout and you want to beat the traffic. Stand up and cheer even if we are up by 50.

I know alot of us are spoiled by winning Big Ten championships alot in football, and they should come more at a regular in bball now, but this is a great accomplishment and we need to show our support of what this team has accomplished this season. We should get the Bp mob and set up a tv outside the arena and anyone leaving early we should make them go back in.

do not leave the game early on Sunday.

I admit to being one of those who sometimes tries to get a jump on traffic if the game is no longer in doubt, but I had already made up my mind to see the nets cut down this Sunday.

BTW - it is not too much of a stretch that we have the outright title in hand before tip off and win this thing by two full games. It just takes MSU at home over Ill and Wisky on the road over Iowa.

Yeah I am the same way, but not for a game like this, I would be there till the end.

Are all the fans going to be wearing Scarlet? I will be headed to CBUS tomorrow and I want to be sure that I have the right attire, I was going to wear my Hawk jersey(away) but I will amend as the situation dictates.

That is what they are calling it.

The men's basketball team is in position to win its first outright Big Ten title since the 1992 season when it takes on Purdue at noon Sunday at Value City Arena.
Ohio State already claimed at least a share of the 2006 league title, the program's 18th, with a 56-53 road win Wednesday at Northwestern.
To help give the senior Buckeyes, who will be playing the final home game of their careers, an added push toward their goal of an outright Big Ten championship, the men's basketball team has asked Ohio State fans to show their support by wearing Scarlet-colored attire to the game Sunday.
Ohio State, 22-4 overall and ranked No. 9 nationally, also will be looking for a Value City Arena record 16th home win this season.
Fan support has propelled the Buckeyes to Big Ten titles in football, women's basketball and men's basketball this season. No other league school has ever accomplished this extraordinary string of championships.
Show your support Sunday by coloring the VCA stands Scarlet. Send the men's basketball team to the 2006 Big Ten Tournament with the No. 1 seed and sole possession of the 2006 Big Ten Regular Season Title!
