Next year's team is going to be hard put to top this.

Nova and UConn each start two seniors and two juniors. Duke starts three seniors. That is what it takes.

The Fab Five at Mich never delivered a title at any level. That OSU might have a magic season ala Carmello Anthony and Syracuse requires some level of wishful thinking.

I am NOT trying to trash talk the incoming class, but it is a huge mistake to overlook just how special THIS team is. These are real wins against real competition. This is the real deal.

I tire of hearing these comments in the game threads as it it a total slap in the face of this years team. We're Big Ten Champions for crying out loud!

I am willing to bet we have more losses next year than this being as young as we'll be.

I would appreciate everyone focusing on THIS YEAR when posting in game threads.

Thank you! I felt like I was the only one who didn't expect a NC out of next year's team. This team is on the verge of it's first outright conference title and people say just wait till next year. People, it will be very hard to have this type of success again next year. Appreciate the moment.

- looking forward to scarlet sunday... maybe the foam hat guy can wear a red one instead of an orange one. :p

- What are the chances of scalping a ticket for $20 or less outside? I'm dying to go, plus I am betting that someone from the lower section will take off near the end of the game... so I can move down and take pictures of them cutting down the nets.

- looking forward to sending the seniors out with a rocking Schott and dominating win.

I looked at the roster and what they accomplished last year with all the garbage surrounding the team and thought this team could make a deep run. These guys have played together a long time, usually a veteran team makes a good run in the tourney.

I am not like all of the people who thought this team could go this far. I thought they would do well and get into the NCAA. They have a lot of work to do, but I never thought they would be Big Ten champs. I now think that they could take the Big Ten tournament and make a very deep NCAA run. I thought many of the people who were so excited about the season beginning might be a little over the top.

I hope they can keep their focus and really do something special and I am pleased that they are doing so much better than I thought they might.

I want to support GD01. This team can go to the final four. On the right day, they can go all the way. A team like this doesn't come around often, let's celebrate it.

As for people staying behind to cheer the team, you can count on people cheering them around the world, even the tip of Africa!:biggrin:

That looks like the guy in the 'Buckeye Road Crew' that was at the end of the upper level at Northwestern Wednesday night. I was about 4 rows behind him, and he was wearing a scarlet hat shaped like that. :biggrin:

That was a good group of loud, loyal fans.

By all rights this should be a blow out. Were it under different circumstances and the temp was above 50 I might unload my tix and hit the links.

As it is I am super pumped. Not only will I be wearing scarlet, but I have let my hair turn gray just for the occassion.
