#8 Ohio State 76, Purdue 57 (Final)

Well when I thought the game was today and a hour away, I thought it was a little too late to ask for a vBet.

But seeing how its tommorow, can we get one. It may be a chance for some people to get their vCash up.

We do it for the football games, why not the basketball games too?

I'm very pumped up for tomorrow's game. This team has far exceeded my expectations. I remember watching the Iowa State game, and thinking that the win was HGUE because this team is going to need those wins to get to 20 wins and an invite to the tourney. Now, they're a legit #2 seed and a potential (although I think unlikely) #1 seed!!! I know it's been said before, but the thing I absolutely love about this team is it doesn't ride on the shoulders of any one player. Sure, Dials has been huge lately, Foster is always solid, and Butler is proving he's one of the best PG's in the nation, but someone different always seems to step up. Teams can lock down on Dials, but there are 5 OTHER potential 20 point scorers on this team: Foster, Butler, JJ, Lewis, and Sylvester. Too many people to cover.

Anyways, for those of you who are lucky enough to go to games regularly, are the fans getting louder? It's tough to tell on TV, but I'd hate for the Big 10 champs to have a weak crowd. That's embarassing.

Which brings me to another point, Northeast Ohio SUCKS for Buckeye basketball. Most people up here don't have a freaking clue that the Bucks are a Top 10 team and Big 10 champs. Every once in a while someone asks about Oden, but as far as this season goes, they're clueless. It might have something to do with the lack of TV coverage too. I mean, seriously, the Bucks were playing for a share of the Big 10 title Wednesday, and I'm listening to it on the RADIO!!! ARGH!!!!! BITE ME ADELPHIA! YOU BASTARDS!

Okay, deep breaths.... Thanks for listening. I feel better now.

Purdue doesn't stand a chance.

Well the season is almost over, but we could maybe do something for the Tournament games. I'll talk to some bookies about it.

The problem with BBall games is that the spreads come out so late. The site I use still doesn't have the spread listed for tomorrow. Getting a bet up so late and getting it closed on time is a pain - and it doesn't give folks much time to get their bets in.

You could just make up your own line. Say like -11 for tomm. It really isnt that big of a deal if it isnt the same as Vegas.

Why would you have to close it?

Whenever BKB sets up a bet, he sets it to like 30 minutes before the game to close betting.

You don't manually close the bets...do you?

somehow I think the most experienced bookie on this site knows what he's talking about... bkb likely is dealing with games that he can set up long in advance.

do any of you have any experience scalping outside, and knowing how much I would have to pay for 1 ticket?

Just wait till next year, Im drooling over that year.
do not underestimate the value of the four seniors that are on this year's squad. the experience and cohesion that being together for several years is more valuable than all the recruiting stars in the world. i honestly believe that, in retrospect, this year's iteration of the Ohio State Basketball team will be better than next year's highly touted squad. now, a couple years down the road may be a different story.

in other words, DO NOT take this wonderful season for granted. nothing is guaranteed. remember, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
