Activate the Bat Signal - hatehineygate asks a simple question

Somehow I made FACTUALLY incorrect statements there and implied Shaun Rogers wasnt going to play DE.

I think I see what the real issue is here. Comprehension, on your part.

look at what you originally quoted from yourself, then what I followed with. you are factually incorrect in saying shaun rogers can't rush the passer. I showed you that. you ignored it. not surprising.

Does Rogers even rush the passer? I cant remember him doing anything against the passing game, but he is outstanding against the running game and Field Goals.

It was posed as a question, hence the question mark.

I think Ward will be fine too, but given his college career and some of the things I saw last night I dont think he is a full time starter. I am excited to see him plugged in against some run heavy teams, he will be awesome. Just wish he would wrap up more.

You learned all this in the first preseason game of Ward's career, impressive.

Because players are always the same in the pros as they are in college, I understand what you're saying.

No, you dont. You are just looking to pick a fight. I doubt you watched the game last night or you would at least be able to concede that while he hits very hard, he doesnt use good form, which has been a huge problem for our defense. Also, the speed issue isnt something he is just going to be able to just fix.

He is going to be a liability in coverage this year. He could improve his tackling and learn some better angles.

But at least it appears that he cares, unlike your boy Brady Quinn. Isn't that right, Rhabuf?

there was nothing wrong with his form last night. he took the perfect angle on the TD pass and it took an absolutely perfect throw and great catch to make the completion. you're simply reaching. I do find it comical that you say anyone that disagrees with your opinions on anything, no matter how ill-informed those opinions are, is simply trying to pick a fight with you. you need to grow up.

No, I said you were picking because you were reading into what I said the way you wanted to. You were putting things out there I never said at all-like the things above.

I am more than willing to talk about the game, I have been asking basic questions and getting nothing but trash talk from people.

Asking a question only reinforces your lack of knowledge on the subject, particularly when you resort to absurd and embarrassing exaggeration like

"I cant remember him doing anything against the passing game"

Which may not be an exaggeration, but merely a revealing moment of your knowledge on the team.

no, you're just trying to pick a fight. i mean, pointing out that shaun rogers lead the team in sacks in '08 to deflate his statement is also just picking a fight.

Laughable and outright lying on your part.
You were putting things out there I never said at all-like the things above.
You said he doesn't use good form, he quoted you and argued the opposite.
You said he was a liability in coverage, he quoted you and argued the opposite, pointing out the angle he took on that play and the great throw and catch made in spite of it.

If you're going to try and wiggle out of a losing argument by claiming you didn't say things, you might want to save that argument for times when your fellow debater doesn't have your words quoted for everyone to see, blowing up your claim you didn't say it.

I havent even posted a response to that yet.

I never said Rogers couldnt rush the passer or anything about him playing NT/DE which is the entire basis of this argument.

I will admit that after a half I was too drunk to watch or didnt watch the end of games.
