Being A Buckeye For One Single Play

I'm not sure if this has been said yet, I might have skipped over it but oh well...

my vote would go for the grab Gonzo made up in ann arbor that put us in perfect position for the W...I love that play

then being Pittman following it up with the short td run would be pretty sweet as well:)

Damn you Dan Isaacs! That was the one I was going to mention but couldnt get back to the board fast enough! :pissed:

That is the most memorable football hit on any level that I can remember. To just totally obliterate someone and be immortalized in the same instance would definitely do it for me.

Nice pick.

Hitting any TSUN quarterback.

Chris Wells running 52 yards for a TD against scUM as a true freshman would be pretty awesome.

Imagine it, spinning out of one tackle in the backfield, bursting through the hole, and shaking off a few more defenders as you bolt across the field and into the endzone with a hundred thousand fans screaming their head off as you give tOSU the lead against TSUN to set up a NC game berth.

*EDIT: An honorable mention would be Mo Clarett stripping the ball from Sean Taylor's hands following his INT in the NC game. Awesome play.

David Boston, 1997 Rose. Although, that wasn't THE last play, IIRC.

david boston in the rose bowl

Agree with these two... game-winning catch in the Rose Bowl... just about as good as it gets.

2nd place: AJ Hawk blocks a punt and returns it for a touchdown in his last game in the Horseshoe. So what if it was Northwestern, what a memory to have in your last home game.

I generally spy through the threads to get my Buckeye fix but this one has stoked my interest enough to add my two cents. To paraphrase a quote from the movie Mallrats.
"Wow! That's a good question. Tough one though. I mean, what does one gauge his response on: big game scenario? difficulty of the play? home atmosphere?"
All the other plays that have been mentioned are sweet. My first thought was that MoC play against Sean Taylor in the NC. Then, I thought MoC on the wheel route. Finally, I came to my senses to scrap any ideas of old 13. Coming up with just one play is like saying what you'd buy if you won the lottery. Jenkins vs purdue, Eddies run vs ND, Troy to Gonzo in 05. Endless. I respect those of you trying to be original and choose players like Nate Salley or Yoboty but really? I mean really? If its just one play, without any strings attached, juice is flowin'...buckeye nations going crazy...ego's blarin'...camera's are on...
1.Teddy, first play of the game, last years national championship. Number 1 team, highly favored, blazing past everyone to show the nation what we were supposed to do. As long as the play ends there, plays over after I ( teddy) score. No injury, no other plays from that game. Coulda been a contender.
2.Terry Glenn's 82 yard freak out catch, leave Notre Dame and Rossum in the dust.

I've got 4.

.1) Gonzo's catch and run against Iowa in '06

.2) Troy Smith and his "Heisman Trophy" pass against PSU

.3) Antonio Pittman's run against Minnesota for his first touchdown of the season to get the monkey off his back.

.4) Teddy's NC kickoff return.
