Seattle will never trade Allen just like the T-Wolves will never trade KG. I'd give up pretty much anyone for either of those guys, but it won't happen.
Lots on the internet... and SI rumor mill including both those names... almost every day...

If Shaq can be traded... anyone can...

If forced, I'd take either of them... just to help out their current teams from those financial burdens... :wink2:

Todays featured rumor is Gooden for either Earl Watson or Derek Fisher.

I'll pass.

There is also some talk regarding Mike James since he's an impending free agent in Toronto (he can opt out).

I'm not sure I want to get rid of Gooden for any of those players.

Im watching the Bulls game on TNT, and they just mentioned that Ben Gordon has been the center of quite a few trade talks, and that the Bulls are really interested in acquiring an interior player, most likely a PF.

Gooden for Gordon?

Heck yes.

I'm watching the game too (just turned it on) and was getting ready to say I would probably take the Gooden for Duhon trade that was mentioned a little while ago. I like Gordon, but they say he is just a scorer. He doesn't defend or dribble well (that's directly from an article that I read last week), so I don't see how he is much of an upgrade over Jones. Duhon isn't as good of a scorer as Gordon, but he can do everything else better than the Cavs current guards. I would have to think that the Bulls would be interested in a big man who can score like Gooden. I would try to get them to take Newble and this year 2nd rounder for Nocioni with the trade.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I would trade one of the bench players and or a 2nd round pick if they still have one to Seattle for Fortson. IMO if they move Gooden they need to get another PF to get some minutes.

According to some Cavs and NBA rumormill sites, the Cavs aren't likely to make a move this year. Pointing out Ferry's "up bringing" in San Antonio and there history of moves or lack there-of at the trade deadline. The only move they did make was dropping a Center or PF (I forget who) and his big contract and getting Nazr Mohamed in return. I hope something is done prior to the deadline with Gooden because I don't think we will re-sign Gooden in the offseason, although I guess a sign and trade would still be possible.

Personally would like to see thee Cavs trade Damon Jones for a bottle of water and a pack of that old Gatorade gum. I can't stand his arrogance and his constant showing off. But thats just me.

That might be a front that Ferry is putting on to increase Gooden's trade value. I'm pretty sure the Bulls would love to have a PF with Gooden's scoring ability since their big men are scoring challenged. Kerr just said they want to turn Tyson Chandler into a Ben Wallace type of player, which would work well with Gooden. It just depends what they would give up for him. Only Ferry knows if he wants to keep Gooden after this season. If he doesn't think the Cavs are going to be able to keep him he should trade him for a piece that the Cavs need. Right now they are set at SG, SF, and C. Marshall and Varejao can play PF and back up center and they also have Henderson who can take some C/PF minutes off the bench.

K.. you've mentioned Fortson numerous times... so I finally went and looked him up... since I didn't know much about him...

Why Fortson? stats don't jump at me... for the last 5 years inclusive... why do you like him so much...??

He's a bad ass. He isn't a stats guy, but he's the kind of player that other players hate playing against because he's so physical, kind of like Ben Wallace, but not as big. IMO Fortson would give the Cavs the big physical aspect that they are missing. He is out of favor in Seattle so they could probably get him for Henderson at this point.

Here's my new dream trade scenario:

Bulls get: Gooden and Newble
Cavs get: Duhon (Gordon if they'll give him up) and Nocioni
Views: The Bulls need a big man who can score, the Cavs need a PG that can run the offense defend and make some shots. Gordon is a better offensive threat than Duhon, but Duhon is a better defender and ball handler. After watching the Bulls game last night Gordon is able to drive to the hoop well so if he can learn to drive and kick he would be awesome with Lebron and Hughes. Gordon is also a good outside shooter. Duhon has been injured and his stats aren't as good this season. Nocioni is Newble, but can shoot. Newble might be a better on the ball defender, and should be completely healthy after the break. The Cavs need Nocioni thrown in the trade to make up for the loss of Gooden's scoring. Nocioni's a 43% 3 pt shooter. I would give the Bulls Gooden and their choice of Pavlovic or Jackson rather than Newble if they would trade Hinrich and Nocioni.

Sonics get: Henderson
Cavs get: Fortson
Views: Henderson isn't playing much for the Cavs now that Varejao is back. Fortson isn't playing much for the Sonics because the coach doesn't like him. This trade would give the Sonics a hard working PF/C that has played well when he has played. The Cavs get a very physical PF that would be able to give them 10 to 15 bruising minutes a game before fouling out. This would help them match up better with Eastern powers Detroit and Miami. Fortson played at Cincy and might like to come back to Ohio.
