Best Movie Shot in Ohio?

Brubaker .

THUMP ; NEVER tell any Perry Countian(?) they live just near New Lex !! It's like calling them someone's little brother .
I went through five pages of posts so i could be sure I'd be the first to point out BRUBAKER and you got it while I was reading ! Old and slow as my kids say . I vote for Silence of the Lambs . My all-time fave , even though I used to live less than a mile from the Juntion City prison .
It was being used to age cheese when I lived there . It's gone now .:(

Better than saying they live near Corning!

New Lex is the County seat.

Most people will have never heard of most towns in that county.

Severance Hall in Cleveland was used as the presidential palace of Kazakhstan in Air Force One.

And according to wiki:...

The Reformatory in Mansfield was used for the prison scene in this movie as well.

The Christmas Story and Shawshank Redemption would be my two favorites from this list.

This may be a dumb question but...

Didn't they shoot a film at the old Ohio State Penitentiary in Columbus prior to them tearing it down 10 or 15 years ago?

Was that Shawshank Redemption? (which, incidentally is my favorite listed thus far).
