Santarpios is East Boston is dangerous, greasy goodness. Still made in the same ovens for over 100 years. No menus, and you don't ask questions to the old school former boxer waiters.

Giovanni's in Coral Springs.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Ft. Lauderdale.

Lorenzo's in Coconut Creek.

Brusco's in Pompano Beach.

These are the places I like to hit when I do pizza down here. Love Anthony's, but it is far away and a bit pricey. Right now, Giovanni's gets most of my patronage due to location. I am moving soon, and there is 3 little pizza places near the new neighborhood I need to check out, so this list may expand in the near future.

I look forward to certain staff parties at work primarily for the Adriatico's.

When I lived in Patterson, they had the Monday night $5 take out special which was a large one topping pizza (the big rectangle). Every Monday night was pizza and beer night on our floor.

In with Rotolo's.

It's a good call everytime.

I'm gonna throw out Sparano's on Hague... now... the service sucks, and there's no dining room... but, get over it. It's awesome. And you can can damn near anything you want on it.

I'll throw in an anecdotal story. I had never been there when a friend/customer of mine suggested that we pick some up. So, we get in my car, go get it, he comes back out with a couple pies, a couple subs and some salads. (His wife was out of town so he had to stock up on "supplies" that he wouldn't get to eat otherwise)

Anyway, as we're exiting the parking lot, he pulls a corner of the one of the pies out of the box and eats it, and says, "This is the rule, you have to get a piece that's hot out of the oven on the way home. That's why you're driving, you can't have any. My brother came here, did this, didn't see a car coming and got killed. So, you drive, I'll eat"

Sadly, it was a true story. But, if the pizza is that good, I guess folks will keep coming no matter how many family members it kills.

Not stuff I'd put into "best ever" category, more like, pretty lucky to have it close, but, if I were so inclined, I could walk to Pizza House on Lincoln, Villa Nova on High, and the little known "Pizza Shack" on Sinclair (different kind of thing, but, a nice change, very good herb use in the sauce). Now if I could get some decent Chinese carry out, my life would be perfect.

I with grad on DiCarlo's...and with AKAK on Adriatico's.

Just had Colony Grill in Stamford, CT last week. Hot oil and stingers pie. Spicy as hell but awesome.

Did I say Adriatico's? (I did not, but, I do have similar fond memories of the Ohio Stater or whatever the big fucking monster thing that's the Monday Special... that was dinner till Thursday)
