I'm not well versed on good small pizza places, but there's a great place in Loveland called The Works. It's fairly new, only about 10 years old, but they cook the pizzas in brick ovens, and it's located in a former waterworks/fire department. Really old building.

As for chains, Donatos is the best, hands down. Anyone that says different is dumb.

Yeah, what's the skinny on those joints, I've heard I need to make the trip.

Yellow Brick - go for the J-Money pie and the phenomenal beer selection, both on tap and bottled

Harvest - love the Spicy Yuma and their take on an Old Fashioned

Neither have a ton of seating so be prepared to either wait it out or go during non-rush hour...we usually get carry out at Harvest but dine-in at Yellow Brick.

Hmmm... doesn't sound objectionable.

Tristano's for Chicago-style. 1/4 mile from our house and a very solid beer selection.

I agree, Wedgewood is good Pizza, Cornersburg is very good too, but the one in Boardman is the best and the one in Poland sucks.

FYI - they opened up a Wegdewood here in Columbus last year. Its down in Grove City.

How does it compare to the original? We tried the Grove City one last year and weren't wow'ed, but I don't know the original at all.

Here in Fort Wayne, IN I absolutely love 816 Pint & Slice, although the typical cheese/pepperoni aren't that great. I think it's the Don that I was pleasantly surprised by, but I usually get the calzones. I go there regularly before I head over to the downtown ballpark for the minor league team (TinCaps) since it's just a few blocks away.

In Orlando I love Flippers, although more for their bread sticks. They're heavenly.

When I'm back in Ohio, I love Donatos (love a thin crust pizza), and have to order a sub from Leaning Tower in Mansfield. In Sandusky it's gotta be Chett & Matt's.

New Haven pizza at Sally's or Pepe's on Wooster Street! Talking about pizza without showing a picture is like talking about sexy women! A no-no and against everything BP! Sally's and Pepe's cook their pizza in coal fired ovens that run continuously.
