I really don't think a bowl ban this year would "save" us anything next year.

Anyhow, I'm thinking the bowl we go to will be sponsored by a pizza company, lawn utensil company, or online electronics retailer.

The "Abe's of Maine Bowl." Or the "Garden Weasel Bowl." Has a nice ring.

Two years ago, when we were a much better team.

Our defense had problems with Indiana and Purdue the last two weeks. Because of it, we won't be playing Oregon this season.

Nope.

Mainly because I don't see banning ourselves from the Ticket City Bowl this year is going to appease the NCAA. They will still ban us next year, anyway.

just throwing this out there, mostly because i don't know how the tiebreaker even works, but if this scenario happens, won't ohio state still go to indianapolis?

  • Ohio State beats Penn State, Michigan
  • Wisconsin loses to Illinois, beats Penn State
  • Penn State loses both games

?

If the team that played Wisconsin shows up, I'd like to see the Buckeyes extend their streak over Notre Dame in a bowl game. If the team that played Indiana, Michigan State and Purdue is going to show up, I'd like to see them stay home and enjoy the holidays.

I'm hoping for the Meineke Texas Bowl just so I can go to the game cheaply and with little hassle. Otherwise, I'm good with a self imposed bowl ban. With the impending coaching overhaul, I'm not so sure the practices will be that meaningful anyway.
