Bruce Hooley - Biggest Idiot now back on the radio in Cleveland

Why get worked up over what any of these douche bags have to say? In many instances I'm not sure any of them believe in anything that they actually say on the radio. It's all about the shock factor or the controversy. That's what generates ratings and revenue for the network and gets people like Hooley where he's at. You can thank the Jim Rome's out there for this.

It does not matter what any of these clowns have to say....it is the GAME. It doesn't matter what the records are or the circumstances. Regardless what everyone says there is respect for each of our programs...history..tradition. That is what makes this rivalry what it is. Hooley knows this as a OSU alum but he has sold his soul to ESPN and the ratings game.

I think its fun to bash these guys LOL. Same thing with Chris 'the giggler' Martin from the BTN network. I don't think anyone seriously gets worked up over guys like this, its just fun to call them out for their stupidity.

I take exception to his hyperbole but some of what Hooley is not so far off the mark.

The Game often has been THE GAME of the Year in college football. It was everything in the years of Hooley's adolescence, the 10-year war. Journalists spilled a lot of ink over it. There wouldn't be one internet site right now that would have focused on anything else. Other teams did not exist during this week, except for USC-UCLA which was a distant second in terms of attention-grabbing potential.

Then, TSUN diminished its importance on the national scene by hiring this Appalachian carny act.

The Game is not less to us, but its impact on national rankings or the outcome of the BCS bowls is diminished greatly. There really is nothing to play for except pride. Personally, I think that is enough but there is truth in that statement.

Hooley is pushing buttons. He knows that as someone who attended Ohio State. He knows our culture. So he writes this stuff--partly as observation and partly to get the attention that justifies his paycheck.

Hooley knows what we know. The Big Ten may be weaker than it has ever been. Ohio State is dominating it. We love to see Ohio State romp over TSUN.

I can't wait to see him jump on the bandwagon when Ohio State wins the national championship next year. Before the NC game win, he'll be like everyone else, giving 1000 reasons why Ohio State can't be #1 because of a weak Big Ten. But don't worry. After Ohio State wins, he'll be right on the bandwagon marching down High Street.

The first Appalachian carny act, though, was John Cooper. For a lot of people, 2-10-1 took the steam out of this rivalry.

Hooley is a negative, pompous, arrogant (I know redundant) [censored]. I have a very difficult time listening to him and his negativity, I've got enough grumpiness in my life without listening to him. Torg and the Common man, though are at the other end of the spectrum (though no easier to listen to) they seem to be happy go lucky, but I think they're both morons. It seems to me like they put thier uninformed opinions up as fact. I hate that I can't listen to my home town sports radio, because these three make me want to rip the radio out of the dash and shove it up their [censored]

Would the asshat also say that "records don't mean anything because it is a rivalry game" when describing whether Michigan has a chance to win this weekend? If so, then the 7/8 luster crap is total piss, so STFUDH.
