Bruce Hooley - Biggest Idiot now back on the radio in Cleveland

The first Appalachian carny act, though, was John Cooper. For a lot of people, 2-10-1 took the steam out of this rivalry.

Well, there's a new sheriff in town and TSUN fans don't have any problem identifying their main rival any more, do they? :slappy:

Bruce has not been on the radio for two days now. His tweets have included a few scathing 're-tweets' saying he should be fired. I wonder if it's coincidental timing or if he is gone?

What was the guys name that was let go during the MoC debacle at the Fan? He is in Utah or Colorado now. I don't remember him being negative towards the program though.

I'd say it's probably coincidental. He hasn't said anything different than what Ricordati and Torgerson have said I don't think.

it's not even close. hooley was far worse. he went totally ballistic to the point of absurdity. hooley said what JT did was worse than the auburn, usc and smu transgressions, and that he was ashamed to have a degree from osu because JT has ruined the named of that university beyond repair. he then deliberately screened out all callers that disagreed with him and basically admitted to doing so later.

I stand corrected. Maybe he is gone then.

I didn't hear him saying things quite that extreme, but I generally don't listen to him too much. Did hear him for a couple hours a couple different days though.

Got a PM saying "According to a few OZone posters Hooley has been given a time out by the station."

Good, he completely lost his shit the other day. (And, whoever mentioned the broadcaster during MoC, I'm guessing you mean Fitzsimmons-- I actually kind of like that guy, and he would not have gone this ballistic)

Hooley has some fucking issues....

First, his love of Ohio State Basketball is disproportianate with the fan base. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but, he actually lets it piss him off that some people are ambivalent to Basketball. I'm not making a judgement, it is what it is, and he can't accept it.

Second, he's obviously boys with Herbstreit... so, there's strike 2.

Third, and strike 3, he thinks he's a lot smarter than he is...

Who?

:p

Never listened to a second of this guy. Based on what I've read here from time to time, why anyone would choose to listen is beyond me.

Listening to sports radio > listening to anything else on the radio, or nothing at all (while at work)

That's about it though.

Ian Fitzsimmons, who's now in Dallas (might have been in SLC at one time), was pretty good. Then there was Damon Bruce. He was on 1460 for maybe a month before he had the balls the call out Tom Friend during an on-air interview. 1460 canned him right after that. He's doing radio in SF now. Both of these guys were way better than anything they've had since, with the exception of Spielman. Hooley is the worst by far. I haven't listened to him since Spielman took a break.
