The Minnysoda Vikings and Washington Redskins announce a trade.

The forward thinking front office of the Redskins comes through here....

The Vikings send QB-Adrian McPherson to the Redskins in exchange for G-Randy Thomas.

Thomas2.jpg

McPherson will either compete for the starting job in Washington immediately or by year two. He could well be the steal of the draft.
Thomas is a six-year veteran at Guard and was a Pro-Bowl alternate. He is very durable. I was going to draft David Baas if he lasted to our selection in the 2nd round. But, because we feel the Vikings are going to win now, we arranged this trade before selecting McPherson. A proven guard leaves the Vikings with no weakness...other than kicker...

In the spirit of keeping things moving, Baltimore's team needs are: WR, CB, C, OT, RB.

  • WR - Jerome Mathis, Hampton; Roscoe Parrish, Miami (Fl)
  • CB - Eric Green, VTech
  • C - Chris Spencer, Ole Miss
  • Any others?

A guy's allowed to go to work, right?

Anyway, Baltimore will be taking a WR, but not on that list:

Vincent Jackson, WR, Northern Colorado

At this pick, I think the Ravens should take Mike Patterson, DT from USC. Since they are going back to the 4-3 this year, they need some immediate depth at tackle since they really don't have an impact player at that position right now. Patterson is a plugger which is exactly what's needed. He's also the best available player and the Ravens have been talking about drafting a DL in the first or second rounds.

nevermind. The Ravens make another ? pick.

Manning- I live in Indy! How can you pass on a DT or rush DE & take a corner who probably will lay safety & we are loaded @ safety. W/ all due respect Marlin is TOAST, he couldn't cover Holmes / Ginn or any USC WR. If we have to have a scUMer on the Colts I would hope he could @ least be somewhat of a player. BAD PICK, you could have come back w/ a CB in round 2 or 3 (deep position this year).

In the 2nd round of the NFL draft the Seattle Seahawks select.....

Chris Canty - Virginia DE 6'7
3_8.gif
", 286, 4.93

Canty has terrific size, agility and power when healthy. He also has the potential to play either inside or outside in a 4-3 and/or 3-4 scheme at the next level.

Slipped due to injury and behavior problems. I know Matt Roth and if a team can take a chance with his behavior i the first round then we'll gladly do it in the 2nd round with Chris.
