I read on Hoopshype.com that they signed some Euro player. When I clicked on the link, it was all written in Spanish, so no help there.

They're going to miss Wildthing's hustle. He may be back sometime in December.

The Cavaliers and free-agent point guard Damon Jones agreed today to a four-year deal worth $15 to $16 million, according to several league sources.

Jones, who played last season with the Miami Heat, was the last of the top free agent point guards left. The Cavs had been talking to him for several weeks while the Heat negotiated with free agent Michael Finley, who eventually signed with San Antonio.

The addition of Jones will help the Cavs' poor 3-point shooting. Jones was fifth in 3-point field-goal percentage last season at 43.2 percent.

Jones, 29, will battle Eric Snow for the starting point-guard position.

" Jones will battle Eric Snow for the starting point guard." ?

Uh, I think not.

I never would have thought this could happen after Finley went to
the Suns.

Great move.

They're supposed to sign Jahidi White soon. I hate that move. I'd rather have Traylor back, if he's ok.

Yeah I would much rather have the Tractor back, but he did fail a physical but you never know.

I think Ferry gets an A for the offseason.

Talk about spreading an opponent's defense...

PG Jones
SG Hughes
SF James
PF Marshall
C Ilgauskas

This lineup is going to be awesome. They all have the ability to score anywhere between 15 and 25 a nite. With Hughes, Z, and James being able to go off for more than that.

They may lack a little on the defensive end, but I think With big Z in the middle and James and Hughes quicks that they should be able to hold teams in somewhat respectable scores.

Also they will have some d coming off the bench with Wild thang and Snow.

Also some shooting with Jackson.

I think we are going to be a force this year.

From everything I've heard and read since mike brown's hiring, he seems to think that he can get this team to start playing really good team defense. If they buy into his scheme, the cavs will be strong next year. The shitty thing is, with all the talent in the east, if they get a bad draw, they could very well get booted in the first round.

I'm setting my tentative optimistic expectations at eastern conference semi's.

Now that the Cavs signed Jones I'm glad that Finley went to the Spurs. First of all, the Heat didn't need any other good players, they will be hard enough to beat as it is. Second, if the Heat got Finley, Jones probably would have signed with the Cavs just because they were the best option left. Now Jones singing tells me that he really wants to be a Cav. I can't wait for the season to start. I just hope Wild Thing recovers quickly.

Man I missed this one.

Now I really hope they can bring back Traylor.

AV just had surgery over the past week. I know I've learned not to use my left arm for rebounding since I've had dislocation problems so lets hope his doctors are better than mine.

Man that sucks. I was looking for him to have a break out year. Hopefully he comes back in Jan. at full go and finishes strong. I guess that gives him about 4 months or 5 if we make a run in the playoffs.

I THINK I read Traylor may have the exact same heart condition as that 49ers kid that died a week or so ago

I heard he had the same condition that the Lakers draft pick has. He had surgery and may play again, but Traylor , at his age and weight, may be better off hanging up the sneakers.
