Celtics-Magic Second round series

1. Best on the planet.
2. What has he done?
3. No doubt.
4. Same as #2.
5. Maybe 2 years ago.
6. Mr. Turnover
7. Mo can score, play a little D but not much else.

Deron Williams provides an all-around game that is measured in far more important areas than statistics. He forces teams to respect his jumpshot, which spreads the floor. He's a very efficient, if not flashy, passer that gets lesser teammates than Allen and Pierce involved. He's led his team to the playoffs in consecutive years in the more competitive Western Conference, including a 6-game series against the Lakers in the conference semis last year. And he won a gold medal.

Devin Harris is a stud on offense with legit 3-point range. Of the Wisconsin ilk, plays great, not good, defense with his feet. Terriffic passer, rebounder and would be more well known if his teammates weren't Brook Lopez and the pu pu platter.

Tony Parker still drives the basket better than anyone else in the league, with the exception of Lebron James. That hasn't gone away with age. What has would be Tim Duncan's dominance down low on both sides of the court.

There's not one NBA executive that would take Rondo over Rose. The latter took the former's team to the brink while being backed up along the way by John Salmons and Brad Miller. His future is brighter than a 100W bulb. And Rondo still can't shoot and probably never will.

Because it is a team game.

If Magic was playing for the Knicks, they still would not make the playoffs.

Even though I know the whole hypothetical is subject to pure conjecture, I still have to say that is absolutely ridiculous. Who was Lebron James playing with when he took the Cavs to the Finals two years ago?

Basketball is more of a team game than, say, golf or tennis. But it is still individually dominated. Without Lebron, the Cavs are in the Blake Griffin lottery. Without Kobe, so are the Lakers. Without Rondo, the Celtics still have supposed HOFers in Pierce and Allen.

Of course, we all saw how well the Celts did when Pierce lost Antoine Walker and before he gained KG and Allen. That wouldn't happen to truly great players like Magic, Michael, Kobe and Lebron.

Ah yes, here's the Magic we know and love...

on one hand, i like the idea of playing a depleted Boston squad, but they get away with so much shit. Kendrick Perkins just pushes Dwight Howard around the paint with no calls.....Paul Pierce continues to fake his way to the foul line. They hold, push, grab, shove lower backs...no calls.

I just have a feeling Boston, even hurt, will give Cleveland everything theyc an handle. I think I want an inexperienced Orlando squad.

The "Magic" number was 90 for the Celtics tonight. When Orlando holds their playoff opponents under 90, they win. Boston has 10 minutes to put up 29 more points. Don't see it happening. I had Orlando winning in six. Looks like they just needed one more game.

Boston was 32-0, all time, in series when they had a 3-2 lead. Nothing last forever, as this one is turning into a rout in the 4th quarter.
