Cincinnati Bengals (Just Burrow In)

Burrow was injured on day 1 of camp this year. I'm willing to forgive his rustiness.(the weather didn't help either) But there's no excuse for our (largely) veteran offensive line to be this disjointed still.

Zac's going to have to wake up to the reality that these guys need the preseason games to get into rhythm each year. Camp snaps alone clearly aren't enough...

I have a bone to pick with the homer announcers...
"It's Jim Brown celebration all yr for the Browns...One of the best players ever in the game"... then pretty much stabbed him in the back... "too bad he had all those domestic violence issues" ... Fuck them

THE most iconic name in all of football dies and that demands respect.. say what you want in your car on the way home

I just watched a play in the cowboys game and it was a pass to CD Lamb, who juked and faked the defense out of their pants and was wide open for a 1st down reception. Very simple (out?) pattern. Bengals receivers didn't do any juking today that I saw and they rarely got even an inch of separation. (There might have been double moves that weren't shown on replay.) Don't know if the difference is more today's shitty Bengals offense or maybe the Browns have a vastly superior secondary to the Giants...

From my perspective the entire issue of our offensive ineffectiveness started with our O-line.

Burrow simply didn't have time to connect with his WRs down-field very far so that forced them to run shorter patterns that made them much easier to cover. The WRs simply didn't have time to "get open" down-field.

Burrow’s rustiness due to his calf injury and the inclement weather didn't help. But once again Zac's decision to rest the majority of his starting O-line for fear of injuries left them with little or no cohesion.

Zac's made a conscious decision to rest his starters during the preseason in order to keep them healthy for the long slog that is the current 17 game NFL season. He seems willing to sacrifice some early wins to achieve this.

I don't agree.

I said the exact same thing watching the game with my dad, I get the long-haul approach to some extent but the way we play the preseason almost guarantees you some early losses. I understand we put it together last year and almost made the SB, but that approach is not going to work every time.

Burrow not playing is totally understandable with the injury, but the OL needed some amount of reps in preseason to get prepared as a unit and they didn't get that. While we have 4 of our starting 5 from last year, Williams needed reps at RT (he got obliterated per the usual) and Brown needed some reps at LT being the new guy. Oddly enough, it seemed like Brown was the only OL that really held his own yesterday but PFF gave him a 65.1 grade, which is pretty damn bad.

We really need to beat Baltimore next week, starting 0-2 in the division would be tough to overcome.

Yeah, f you, ravens, your defender was already out of the play, he barely got nudged, and you guys have had all the breaks so far -- lame holding call on Hilton, meh hands to the face... Touchdown Bengals.

Oline is struggling to start the season. And for reasons unknown to me, Cincy has gone away from the outside running game when A) it has been working and B) facing favorable box counts on usual running downs and distances.

Why can't they push the ball down the fucking field?? This is disgusting look for Burrow after getting paid. Run some deep crossing routes to beat their man coverage and completely ditch the swing passes because they are garbage. This is why I'm a Dolphins fan.

Burrow got his bag and he's riding off into the sunset with it...this is terrible.

I'm not even a Cincy boy. But good god, calm down.
