Ohio State band member holds up Sam Darnold Browns jersey during Cotton Bowl

Just sayin': I don't think Darnold is a good fit for the Browns. The Browns need a QB that can play now. Darnold had some flashes of brillance against Ohio State and may ultimately be NFL caliber; however, he sure didn't look like he could hit the ground running in the NFL, i.e. like Dak Prescott (Cowboys) or Carson Wentz (Eagles), etc. He would be a better fit with a team the Giants where he could just sit behind Eli Manning for a couple years and learn the system.

No matter what QB they draft, they need to acquire a vet and let the rookie sit.

I would like for them to sign a veteran QB, preferably Smith, and try to find a diamond in the rough QB and select him in the second or third round and wait until next year's draft to get a quality QB. After watching Darnold Friday night I am less than enthralled with him and Rosen's physical stature worries me quite a bit. Allen has the arm but I just am leery about taking him in the first round.

Anyhow, it is always wait until next year so why not wait and take the franchise QB next season unless the diamond in the rough pans out.

Wow, what a bomb from Kizer to Gordon. TD call won't stand replay, though.

Out at the 2, will they score?

Yes, Duke Johnson.
