0-20 including the preseason? Maybe they extend the regular season and they lose all of those games? Maybe the players walk out on the team and the Browns can’t even field 11 offense and 11 defense? maybe the Browns get sent down to NAIA? This team hasn’t found rock bottom yet but I surely believe they know how to find it.
To be honest with you I think they can be a 5-7 win team next year with a veteran coach and QB along with a solid draft.

Call me crazy but I see bits and pieces that with the right tuning could be at least respectable.

Good thing they snagged him in the 1st round!

But I agree. Coleman belongs in the slot and they need another guy on the outside with Gordon.

Or 2 guys on the outside once Gordon fails another drug test. Ugh.

Coleman doesn't have the route command to play in the slot.

Anybody remember that time... I think it was @LordJeffBuck posted Coleman's drop percentsge from the 2015 season?! Yeah I got a chuckle out of that too.

Edit: and Haslam is bringing hue back for a year ...that's just special.

Here ya go....
As Buckeye fans, we constantly rip on Baylor for using a gimmicky air raid offense, for being in a conference that plays absolutely no defense, for playing the weakest schedule in college football, and for running up the score against all those patsies.

Then the Browns spend the #15 overall pick on the player who was the primary beneficiary of Baylor's air raid, patsy-thumping, stat-inflating offense, and now as Browns fans we're supposed to be excited about this selection?

Last season, Browns fans endlessly complained about having a bunch of sub-six-foot wide receivers. Coleman is a sub-six-foot wide receiver.

Last season, Browns fans endlessly complained about wide receivers dropping passes. Coleman dropped 10 passes in 2015, for a drop rate of 11.9%.

Every draft, Browns fans complain about reaching for players. Coleman was generally projected to be drafted #22-#25, and was almost certainly not the best player available at #15; he probably wasn't even the best wide receiver available.

EDIT: Baylor football has been under a ton of scrutiny lately, and the Browns have been burned by two former Baylor players (Phil Taylor, Josh Gordon). I hope that the Browns did their due diligence with Coleman.

Deshone Kizer: 15/31, 182 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT, 2 sacks, QBR of 27.3

Yep, it looks like the Clowns have finally found their QB of the future.

EDIT: And if you have Kizer in your fantasy league, you just got 1 whole point for that effort.

I get he sucked today but isn't it kinda harsh to judge a rookie QB based on facing the Steelers and Ravens in the first 2 weeks?
I just wanted to revisit this Week 2 conversation after the season.

DeShone Kizer definitely has some arm talent. And he has some mobility. And he's a big kid who can absorb some hits. But I don't think I've ever seen a major pro QB prospect who is so slow to process information. His inability to see what's happening and react to it is what leads to inexplicable coverage sacks and horrible decisions in panic mode. This is who Kizer always has been. This is probably who Kizer always will be.

DeShone Kizer finished this season with a completion percentage of .536; a TD to INT ratio of 1 to 2 (11 TD, 22 INT); six fumbles lost (for a total of 28 turnovers); a 60.5 QB rating; a TD percentage of 2.3%; an INT percentage of 4.6%; a sack percentage of 7.4%; and a winning percentage of .000 (0 wins, 15 losses). Those are historically bad numbers for the passing era of the NFL (and some of those numbers are just plain bad period).

It's hard to go 4-8 at Notre Dame, but Kizer accomplished that. Brian Kelly threw Kizer under the bus and then went 9-3 (bowl game pending) with a QB who entered the 2017 season with 5 passes attempted at the college level.

It's hard to go 0-15 in the NFL, but Kizer accomplished that, too. Hue Jackson came as close as he could to throwing Kizer under the bus on numerous occasions, benched him three times, tried to trade for his replacement midseason, and has basically said that there will be a new starting QB next season. John Dorsey has essentially echoes that final sentiment.

We can argue all day long about Brian Kelly and Hue Jackson as head coaches, but both are well-respected football minds and both wanted nothing to do with DeShone Kizer. And you can now add John Dorsey to that list. That's not a coincidence, that's a pattern.

I have nothing to say other than I want Sashi gone.

edit:

Front office royally fucked this up.

You had Allen sitting there for the taking. Building arguably the start of the best Dline in football. You trade down. Granted, I said trade down - but to twentyFUCKINGfive?!?!

Me: Oh, fair enough. Let's see whom else is available that was an impact player, perhaps Conley?

Browns: Go fuck yourself, because analytics told us to take the most overrated player in the last 20 years of Big Ten play.

Absolutely unfuckingreal. Then to trade back up for a TE when good midround value big men are found all the time.

Pop quiz, asshole - out of the 'elite' TE's starting in the NFL today, how many were taken in the first round? TWO. Eifert and Olsen. TE's are the antithesis of QB's. You find MORE talent outside of the first round. Or for the fucking stats nerds running the show, a better ROI based on where the pick was selected.

I can't even begin to type how pissed off I am. Peppers ruined the whole thing for me.
We need a deep center fielder and you fucks went 'nah, lets go with a guy that's never played the spot JUST CUZ BRUH'
This is definitely in the running for the Post of the Year Award for 2017.
