Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

The dead money for OBJ would be a huge hit, so much it really isn't worth releasing him.

From what I was told Odell's father released a video showing him not getting the ball when open. The funny part is, it wouldn't be half wrong. Baker has missed some game breaking throws to him last season and more than a few chain movers this year. Getting rid of Odell won't magically fix the woes of this passing offense. Probably won't hurt either, but it isn't a cure-all.

How about the guy taken 6 picks (i.e. #7 by Buffalo) after Mayfield?

Josh Allen: 6' 5", 237 lbs., 25 years old.

The Ravens (who got Lamar Jackson) may dispute it; but so far I think Josh Allen was the best QB in the 2018 draft.
No doubt in hindsight Baker is the 3rd-best QB from that draft. Definitely Josh Allen should have been the pick, and overall Lamar has outperformed Baker. Obviously "Mr Dorsey" wasn't nearly as great as he thought he was. But you can't go back and change the past, just got to make the best of whatever chances you get moving forward.
He's getting released if they can agree to the financial terms of his separation. The Saints could sure use him and he's originally from Baton Rouge.

Peoples-Jones seems to work better with Mayfield anyway.
OBJ being cut would open up time for Schwartz, who may be able to provide more of a vertical threat.

Josh Allen is 100% the best QB from that draft and is now top-5 in the league. However, at the time he was seen as very much a boom or bust pick. His draft hype was based almost solely on his measurables. He had a nice, not great, career at Wyoming. Nobody had him pegged as being this good. Hindsight, he should’ve been the pick, but nobody can fault the clowns for not taking him.

His running ability has been a TOTAL surprise.

He was also total dogshit for his first two years in the league. Guy deserves major credit for working hard to make a massive leap in year 3 and continuing on that trajectory.

No one in that class of QB's was can't miss. I didn't want Darnold or Rosen and Lamar wasn't in the discussion at the top of the draft so it was down to Allen and Baker. Allen would have been my choice mainly because I didn't like Baker's size. If Baker was 6'4" he probably would have been my pick because he had proven himself as a winner especially in games like tOSU when he didn't just out talent the competition. Hindsight being 20/20 the best move would have been to trade out of the #1 pick, take Ward, BPA (B. Chubb?), trade up from the Corbett pick in the 2nd round for Lamar, and Nick Chubb with the other second rounder. Lamar's running ability in the offense would be crazy.

I’m here if you have video. I have no dog (Dawg?) in the fight other than being tired of the “diva WR causing problem for us, not the QB” narrative that’s rarely accurate. I can definitely be wrong on the drops though.

I don’t think he is being a diva. I still want him gone. We have plenty of tape to see that he and Baker are rarely on the same page. Baker has more success with every other receiver on the roster. His stats throwing to OBJ are horrendous. That isn’t necessarily OBJ’s fault, but it’s still a problem and has been since he arrived.

I’d rather spend that money at any other position than on the world’s most expensive decoy.

It feels to me like he has more than three drops over the last few weeks.. let alone the last two seasons. The drop in the Chargers game was inexcusable.
