Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

The defense is as bad as it gets, but LeBron James is damn good at basketball.

17 assists and zero turnovers tonight.
It's amazing to watch him at his best. Even more amazing his best is, maybe not even arguably, happening right now in his 15th season.

Disheartening it takes that level of greatness to even be in some games, though.

LBJ maybe having his greatest season when you factor in age/miles.

1st player in 35 years with 35+ pts, 15+ assists and 0 turnovers.

I’m bullish on the teams prospects if they can get healthy.

Just beat the first place Raptors with half of the contributors still out. Kyrie just got a "procedure" on his bum knee. Curry out till playoffs with MCL sprain that he got in the first game back after being out with an ankle injury. I'll still argue that he is the 4th most important player on that team and should never have won an MVP, but I digress. If the Cavs can stay healthy how far they go in the playoffs is really going to come down to how well they shoot. If they can shoot the 3 like they did in that Raptors game and give max effort on D they have a chance. Rotations will be interesting if everyone can get healthy. I don't see where TT fits with Nance on the team and Zizic giving them good minutes. There are not really any true bigs that really scare me like when Howard and Orlando beat the Cavs back in the day. Lebron, Nance, and 7 Klay Thompson clones could win the title in the current NBA.

I agree with most of what you said, but I don't see anywhere near 7 Klay Thompson clones on this team. I think if any one of the role players can step up their game to a "Klay Thompson" level, with the way LBJ is playing, they at least make the finals again.

Honestly, as long as we don't see Philly (the only team in the conference who scares me even a little), I'll be happy. Washington's skid has us against Miami right now. I'm fine with that as long as LeBron gets his head out of his ass when it comes to playing Wade. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Cavs haven't won there since he left for South Beach.

I also wouldn't mind getting Boston in round two, especially if Kyrie is out in round one and the 7 seed upsets them. NBA playoff upsets are rare, but I think we'll see at least one or two in the East during the first round.
