Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

My Cavs draft board looks like this right now

1) Andre Drummond-Dwight Howard with a Jump shot and ball handling skills? Yes please

2) Michael Kidd-Gilchrist-a smaller version of Lebron, kid is incredibly Fast, Quick, Strong physical player, and can do everything at a high rate except he's 6'6-6'7 and 220, if he worked on his Jump shot he would be without a doubt the #1 pick, would probably play the 2 because of Caspis shooting abillity

3) Brad Beal-Draws alot of comparisons to Ray Allen, but a better rebounder, he's 6'4.5 with a 6'7 Wingspan but averaging about 6.5 Rebounds per game, ill take a 20-6 guy out of my SG everyday

4) Perry Jones III-Last year he just seemed like he was just in College to get to the NBA, untill he realized his stock dropped like a rock and he might not have been a lottery pick, this year he is playing with Fire and could be a taller more aggressive Tracy McGrady

5A) Anthony Davis-if he developed an offensive game and put on 20-25 more pounds

5B) Austin Rivers-if he developed a mid range shot

6) Jeremy Lamb-Very good all around player, but too wiry for me and coast alot, but when he wants to play is a fantastic player

7) Harrison Barnes-could be a Ron Artest type player, Fantastic D, and a very good jump shooter, but doesnt have the quickness to dominate on offense

8) Meyers Leonard- a 7'2 VERY Athletic Center? if he developed a Jump shot like Big Z had, he has potential to be as good as Drummond

9) Trade for a mid teens/Early 20s pick AND a unprotected 1st, hope Sac Town makes the playoffs and trade all 3 1st rounders to get Shabazz Muhammad

Also if im Chris Grant, im calling up the teams with the worst records and offering up AV, and our first round pick in 2013 (top overall protected) and Sacramentos first rounder, to get another top 3-5 pick in this draft

you get 4 top 5 picks on this team plus Caspi, if the draft picks work out you will be a title contender for a decade or more

don't see the comparison between drummond and howard and he doesn't have a jump shot at all yet. he is more comparable to amare coming out of high school but a better defender and rebounder. like amare if he can develop a jump shot at some point he is going to be a special player. i like him a lot plus he is a good kid.

i think you have lamb and barnes too low (both should be top 5 players). i know it looks like lamb coasts out there but he fills up the boxscore every game. he has a great all around game and he would fit in really well with kyrie.

all i got from your post is your really dont watch the games and just pay attention to media hype and did not read any part of my post

Barnes has NOT shown anything that says he has the abillity to create his own shot in the NBA or get to the rim agenst quicker players at the next level, he also has yet to show he can be a consistant shooter/scorer in the college level let alone the NBA, ill be shocked if Barnes goes top half the lottery let alone i might die of shock if he goes top 5, his best comparsion is about a less Athletic Loul Deng type player, NOBODY would take that tope 5 in this years draft

Lamb will fall because of reason already stated above, he does not give 110% all game, he starts to cost and play inconsistant when UConn has a decent lead on someone or he is already having a great game, thats a turnoff for NBA teams, not to mention he's a very thin player, he also turns the ball over almost twice as many times as he makes an assist, and doesnt get to the FT too often

and Drummond hasnt shown he has a jump shot? HAHAHAH thats a good one

what do you call that at 0:51? 1:01? if i wanted too im sure i could find others from other games of him hitting jump shots, like i said, you've made it clear you dont watch basketball and just go off Media Bias, take advice and go watch as many games as you can the rest of the year, do alot more research then you obviously havent, and then talk to me

not at all
you build to win for the future and you do what you can to get those pieces

If I'm giving away those two firsts and AV, it better be for one of the first 2 picks, not 3-5. Now, if I would be guaranteed to get Drummond with that deal and still have the Cavs own pick, I'd seriously think about it.

I'm not a big fan of Rivers.

i have watched every uconn game this year (i'm a fan of theirs). drummond does not have a consistent jump shot yet. that clip is nice but it was one game. he has only shot a hand full of jump shots this year. his free throw shooting is a major problem (and i realize certain players struggle from the line but still have good jump shots, but it is worth mentioning). he has a lot of potential and is a hard worker so i think he will develop one soon enough, but at this point in his career his offensive game is limited. plus i don't think he has the same type of physical presence that dwight has and that is why i see him being more comparable to amare.

i agree with you that lamb has areas he needs to improve in, such as limiting turnovers and getting to the free throw line. i will also give you that he does take a back seat when the team is up big, but so does the entire uconn team, which has been a major problem. but this kid has continued to improve from last year. his ppg and fg% are all up. he is averaging nearly a block per game and 2 steals per game at the 2 guard, which you don't get by not playing hard. he continues to move well without the ball (best i have seen since rip) and has really improved his shot off of screens or taking the ball to the basket coming off screens. he has had two poor games this year - one of which was when he was bothered by a bad ankle, which he was dealing with in a couple of games early this year. overall i think teams are going to focus on how he has continued to improve and does a lot of good things on both ends of the court. all players have short comings, but jeremy is very coachable and a smart player.

questioning barnes' quickness is fair. his lack of consistency and defense is concerning. but i was impressed with his performance in the ncaa and acc tournament last year after a let down in the regular season when he did show he can be a reliable scorer and was aggressive taking the ball to the basket. he has improved as a shooter this year. but i agree if he continues to perform like he is right now he may slip out of the top 5, but if he plays like he did in the tournament he will be a top 5 pick.
