NYB - I got a great rate to start with and was looking for a new bank anyways. It worked out great...and the extra .25% coupled with no pre-payment penalty is huge.

craigw99 - It's the Eclextion building...they were tellling me about the private group that would be hired to manage the condo assocation...something like Equity Management or something like that.

sandgk - anyone knocking on the door with good hooch is always welcome.

Well, the closing went very smoothly...the developer, the realtor, my lending agent, the closing agent, my realtor and I got just finished and everything was fairly easy to understand and managable. Couple of checks changed hands and I was in and out of there in a little over an hour. Thanks to everyone for the great advice...

Congrats!!

When do you move in?

Probably closer to March...I am traveling with the rugby team the next couple of weekends. Actually the best part is that when it comes time to move, practice that day will be held at Coach Wes' old apartment. My players will be doing all the grunt work...

I'm just going to assume the Guiness, Jameson and Bailey's are numbers 2, 3 and 4. :wink2:

first major home purchse Nutty. but you can already tell which unit is mine...all you have to do is stand outside on Hickory and look for the balcony with the case of Labatt Blue and a bottle of Jay-mo sitting outside (since the delivery of my refrigerator got delayed and I have to keep that stuff cold some way).

If I had seen this before today i would have chimed in. Been a Loan Officer for 3 years for a mortgage broker. Sounds like you got a good deal. Also sounds like a Bank One deal, they used to love giving breaks on the rates to open accounts. Congrats on the purchase, and if you have any questions concerning the mortgage etc., just drop me a message.
Congrats again. :)
