"Community" / Parks & Recreation

++++++++Spoiler

I instantly got angry when Chris said that, "Ann Arbor, TSUN is literally the greatest city I've ever lived in (but Pawnee is better)." - Must be too much Ohio State blood in me because just the sound of that got me angry.

Laughed when Ron said Chris was getting the better end of the deal when he was trading Wolverines for Hoosiers.

I think the writers were leaving it ambiguous at Garry's funeral whether Leslie or Ben was very important in 2048 (like President). That was a Secret Service agent in 2048, but they only went to 2035 with Leslie.

I guess it was all you can ask for in a series finale. I do wonder what happened to Andy when he moved to D.C. (if Johnny Karate caught on or something).

I believe I read that was Nick Offerman's actual canoe he was rowing (he made it in his woodshop).

I suspected it was one of his own. My wife got me an engraved pencil holder from his shop.....The desks were in the thousands of dollars and I don't know that the canoes were even priced. That was a damned fine gift from someone that I consider a very good close-proximity home acquaintance.

Few episodes into Season 6. The show slowed a bit for a couple episodes but is having some strong moments.

Ron and Donna going hunting and Ben with his girl on roller skates thing are gold. Also, I find Aubrey Plaza strangely attractive. Like... I guarantee she's pretty much the same way out of character, a total freak. I dig it.

That said, Ron Swanson needs his own show. Yet at the same time, I fear too much of his character and forced humor situations that aren't dry enough for him would diminish just how great he is.

Is it just me or does the show feel like it's got a bigger budget than when it was on network tv? I've only seen the first 2 episodes of the Y!Screen season, but it's got me impressed.

It's not just you. It feels literally almost unchanged from the first 2-3 seasons. I was hoping for just this season but now I am three episodes in and I never want it to end again. Community gets a bigger laugh out of me than about any show that has been out.

I agree, there's a writing style that defies the typical rhythm that most sitcoms follow. The humor is much more like a British comedy-Yes, Minister comes to mind, where every word is important.

Absolutely, the rythm is the reason most of America wants another sing/dance competition show...Community is high paced and you have to give it your full attention, but the reward is totally there.

almost through season 3 of Parks and Rec. So glad I gave it a shot and stuck with it after season 1. It keeps getting better and better. Chris Pratt is hilarious. I had never heard of him until Guardians of the Galaxy. That movie is one reason I checked out Parks and Rec in the first place.

So. I'm thoroughly enjoying this season of Community. The last 2 felt like work. Although there were some pretty great episodes/moments, nothing felt as whole as season 6 has felt thus far. Good for Yahoo for being on top of picking this up.
