Coronavirus Spy Apps: Israel Joins Iran And China Tracking Citizens’ Smartphones To Fight COVID-19

“All means will be used to fight the spread of the coronavirus,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on March 14, “including technological means, digital means, and other means that until today I have refrained from using among the civilian population.” ............

The American government will do the same (hell, we know they have been well before this pandemic).

Anyone seriously think they will just stop once the WHO sounds the all clear?

Ohio governor says schools could be closed for rest of year due to coronavirus outbreak

Summer break may have arrived in March for Ohio students. Gov. Mike DeWine already closed schools in his state for three weeks to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but that might just be the beginning. During an interview on CNN, DeWine was asked if he believed schools could be shuttered for the remainder of the school year.

"Absolutely," the Republican said. "Look, the projections — and again, this is all projections, I’m just going by what medical experts are telling us. You know, this may not peak until, you know, the latter part of April or May." He continued, "We’ve informed the superintendents, while we’ve closed schools for three weeks that the odds are that this is going to go on a lot longer and it would not surprise me at all if schools did not open again this year." The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that short-term school closures of three weeks, such as the closures implemented in Ohio, would not be effective in preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

Instead, the center suggested closures of eight weeks or more to curb the COVID-19 virus. DeWine also estimated that 40% to 70% of Ohioans could be infected with the coronavirus before the pandemic ends. He urged as many people as possible to avoid large crowds, especially young people who are less concerned about the illness, to ensure that more vulnerable populations are not infected by someone who does not know they are carrying the disease.

Your public library may also have some service like Hoopla that includes shows and movies, and you just sign up with your regular library credentials. Lots of good comic books on hoopla too.
Ok, you bastards have dragged my ass into the 21st century, I now have an ebook through Hoopla.

I'm sure my daughter will find a way to screw up what page I'm on.

You can rapidly skim through 50 pages by hand in a physical book to notice sections you've read before. Good luck doing that 1 page at a time on a Kindle in a non-painful duration of seconds. She's going to love this.
