Geez, what was everyone expecting, 5 guys taken in the first round? I'm pretty happy with the draft, its improving, and thats better than where they've been going in past years. We haven't had a QB go in the first round in forever. I'm not too surprised about Walker, he had his moments, definitly not a premier back guy though. Kinda surprised McKnight didn't get drafted at all. He wasn't really effective in the bowl game, nobody really was though. He had a good season, at least he eventually got picked up by New Orleans.

CW and the ND spin machine have been selling his ability to develop players for the NFL from day one. I haven't ever seen the disclaimer that says this ability only applies to kids he recruits.

One side of the ND fans mouth BQ is the second coming, now after his draft stock goes down quicker than Claussen at a truck stop, he wasn't that talented.

Very, very weak even by your standards.

1. 7 players drafted in pretty darn respectable and it would have been 8 if Samardjiza didn't sign with the Cubs.

2. Your BQ comments sound just like OSU fans/TS except Brady didn't drop any where near as far as TS did.

Talk about weak................

Come again Chief? I'd love to see a thread where OSU fans claim that Troy's not very talented... especially 5th round level.

Lets not get too far from the point (I know you hate when that happens).

-BQ and several other Notre _ame players went much lower in the draft than people thought they would.
-This is in direct contrast to what we have all been told about CW's ability to groom players for the NFL based on his pro experience and the NFL system he supposedly runs.

It's nowhere near Halloween, leave the strawman at home, take you ADD meds and at least attempt to discuss the points I made.

i think that saying players went lower than expected is true. many ohio state players dropped below where they were "supposed" to go...

No one is pimping JT the way they are pimping CW as an NFL coach that specializes in grooming players for the league. That was my whole point.

I'm talking mainstream media btw, not OSU fans.

i disagree. lots of "mainstream" media credit tressel for his ability to place players in the pros.

this argument is about the pristine shine of the dome vs a rusted dome. its all about personal views.

this thread is about darius walker. a two thread exists to debate views, traditions and views of notre dame football in general

signed by da bears?
Darius heads down south to try out with the Texans.
Walker to Houston

Undrafted free agent running back Darius Walker of Notre Dame has signed with the NFL's Houston Texans. ND's fourth-leading career rusher decided to forego his senior season with the Irish and enter the NFL Draft as a junior

He couldn't agree to terms with the Bears.

Military Service Acadamies

All five of the service academies operate under the same auspices of the federal government.

Graduates of the USMMA or USCGA can choose to fulfill their service obligation as commissioned officers in any of the branches of the U.S. Military in the same manner as those who graduate the other three academies.

Like it or not the "other" two academies have the same functional status.
