Great News! Welcome aboard, Corey! Family!!

Just saw the Rivals video of the PC, what a nice kid. So excited and nervous he could barely talk. What a thrill to see a kid, especially one so extremely gifted and humble, so ecstatic about becoming what we all are so proud to be. Just great to have him!!

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Ohio State's football recruiting snowball kept rolling downhill this afternoon when Pennsylvania multi-talented athlete Corey Brown picked the Buckeyes. Brown, a wide receiver and defensive back from Monroeville (Gateway), Pa., became the 21st pledge to OSU's 2009 recruiting class.
"I picked Ohio State really because of everything you can think of," Brown said by phone. "The academics, the coaches, the facilities, the tradition, the great players they've got now, the way they keep playing for championships -- they've got everything you want up there."
He also became the second player from his school to choose OSU in the past six weeks, joining blue-chip linebacker prospect Dorian Bell.

Another WPIAL football player commits to Ohio State

Monday, June 23, 2008
By Mike White, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Ohio State football team has landed its third recruit from the WPIAL class of 2009.

Gateway receiver-defensive back Corey Brown announced at a news conference this afternoon that he will attend Ohio State. Brown is ranked among the top 100 players in the country by some scouting services, and Pitt and Michigan also were among his finalists.

Brown is the second Gateway senior to choose Ohio State. Linebacker Dorian Bell made a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes a few months ago. Also, Jeannette running back Jordan Hall committed to Ohio State in the spring.

Ohio State landed star Jeannette quarterback Terrelle Pryor from the class of 2008. Pryor is now at Ohio State, attending classes and working out with the team.

High school seniors can't sign a binding letter of intent with a school until February.

There we go, got it to work. Poor kid was so jittery and nervous. I was hoping to see Dorian there too rocking his Buckeye gear too. Wasn't Corey waving an Ohio State flag during Dorian's presser?

Regards anyways, though it doesn't look like he left a lot of suspense before formally committing to THE University of Ohio State
