I've got a feeling some of this VolNation whining will get peeled off - till then, I offer the most delusional one I have thus far seen:

Delusional part one - that fan evidently thinks UT is going to a Bowl game on a 5-7 record. :tongue2:

The way I read that, he was saying that if Berry had a chance to play in a bowl game he could set the record, but he's not getting that chance.

Jenkins deserved that award and for any UT fan to take that away from him can eat me.

I know its unlikely with the Titans record, but I hope he ends up there and teabags the entire crowd after an int return for a TD.

Congrats Malcom!!

Damn, UT Vol fans are such crybabies. All I am hearing down here is about how Eric Berry should have won, blah, blah, this is Charles Woodson beating out Peyton for the Heisman all over again, blah, blah.
Wah, F*ing, Wah!:tibor:

Scout.com: Malcolm Jenkins stats for 2008, look at your own risk! You have to read some of this stuff off the Vol site, you would think that they had a horrible season and are now grasping for anything that they can get ie. individual player awards that they don't deserve.............wait a second.

Congrats Malcolm, you deserve it.
Thats exactly it, they're a bunch of fucking whiners with nothing else to do because Tennessee hasn't been relevant since 1998, I mean seriously they're 3-7 against Florida since then with 4 straight losses to the Gators and 0 conference titles.... but 4 lousy division titles that just says they were 2nd best of the SEC that year, not to mention they were curb stomped by an Anthony Morelli led Penn State team in 2007 (that right there is worse than both our title games put together).

Huh. Probably sound a lot like OSU fans after Hawk and JL were "snubbed" by the same awards committees.

Congrats to Malcolm!
JL maybe, but I disagree with the Hawk statement. Berry was a sophomore going up against a senior, Hawk was a senior losing to a pitiful junior who could only muster up a few more tackles on the season than Hawk.

Let's hope we see more of this on Jan. 5:

Malcom Jenkins is my current favorite Buckeye player.

I'll admit - I've only watched three games this year (Michigan, Wisconsin, USC), but I don't think there is a better open field tackler in college football.

I'd like him to join the other Jenkins on the Falcons roster. :)

My favorite Malcolm Jenkins moment was in our return trip against Texas. In the first half, Texas was lighting us up. McCoy and Charles were running an option that was just killing us. If McCoy pitched it, Charles ran for 10-15 yards. If McCoy kept it, he did an awfully good job getting the yards himself.

On one play, Jenkins played the option as if he was sticking with Charles. When McCoy brought the ball down to take it himself, MJ unleashed the biggest hit of his career on McCoy, knocking him for a loop. That was the last time they ran the option that game. Later that drive (I believe), Laurinaitis knocks the ball loose, Washington scoops it up, and the rest is history.

Congrats Malcolm!! You are the surest tackler I've ever seen from a defensive back. Good luck against Texas and good luck in the pros next year!
