DE Noah Spence (Official Thread)

He looked impressive during the UA game. He could really give this defense the edge rusher they have been sorely missing since Gholston played in 2007.

The only question I have concerned him is can he come in and contribute next year? He's 6'3 or 6'4 and ~240, so perhaps he could come in and play at the LEO spot until he can get closer to 260. Or is it possible that he may just be a stand up rusher for his entire career in college?

He should definitely see time next year. I don't think he's 6-4, 245 though. Looks more like 6-2 1/2 225 or so to me, but that's not really a problem. Gibson was only 6-2 240. The LEO is basically just a stand-up rusher that occasionally drops into coverage, so I don't think his size will be a issue. I thought he was a LEO all the way?

Wonder where Adolphus will play if Spence is as good as he looks. SDE? I don't think they'd move him inside to the 3 technique.

Re: SPENCE BACK IN PLAY

Then he can stay and miss out on something very special happening at PSU. Enough said.
