Scout $ - Carter Gaining Interest
Topher Smith of SuperPrep.com, Feb 21, 2010

Sees himself as an OG with the ability to play some OT... Coach Taver Johnson let him know last week that an OSU offer was on the way... It will be Carters first offer... He calls it an honor & overwhelming to have the chance to fulfill the dream of going to OSU... Other schools that have him interested include Miami-FL, Toledo, _ichigan, Notre Dame, & Morehouse...

Indications are that this is a conditional offer though I wouldn't expect Carter to volunteer that info...
Boy, sounds like he's ours if/when he gets the written offer from us

John F. Kennedy junior lineman Chris Carter orally commits to Ohio State University
Bob Fortuna, The Plain Dealer, March 15, 2010 5:19 p.m.

Cleveland, Ohio - John F. Kennedy junior offensive lineman Chris Carter began living a lifelong dream today when he gave Ohio State University his oral commitment.

"Growing up in Cleveland, my dream was always to play football for the Buckeyes," said Carter.

Carter made an unofficial visit to the Columbus campus today. He received a scholarship offer and gave the school his commitment during a phone call the minute he got home.

"I left my house about 9 this morning and got home about 3:30 this afternoon," he said. "I knew I wanted to go there from the beginning, so why wait?"
