The rivals profile is a camp-tested weight, but that was months ago and this is a 16/17 year old kid...so he's probably a lot closer to 260 than 230.

^^^^^ Yep, I figure if you need to bench press someone off you it is because you are laying on your back which in my non-professional opinion is not the best football position to make a tackle :-)

i know he only a junior and his strength will improve but i guess what i was trying to hint at was i find it interesting that he recieved a offer already and he hasnt really been talked about to this point. i know that tress and the staff will want to have a huge DL haul next yr in the class of '08 but this guy has really come out of nowhere and recieved a offer over some serious in state talent. they must have really seen something special in this kid

I wouldn't say benchpress is the most worthless measurement for linemen since they use their hands and arms a lot. However, the 40 yard dash is pretty useless for linemen... especially tackles.


Not sure why they don't have kids squat when they're testing there...
