Whether or not he gets the full time gig here, Fick is going to be a fantastic head coach. He has the charisma a lot of coaches lack, is a worker, and a good mind. A big, big part of me hopes he's "the guy" come December.

if he carries himself well, leads a cohesive unit, and puts together a solid season (9-3ish with no horrible losses and no decline), he'll find himself leading a bcs program, whether it's ohio state or not.

I can understand it though. For someone like Luke, despite the circumstances, this is a dream come true. Your a lifetime Buckeye that played and has coached for the program for the past 15 years. You are now the Head Coach of (in your mind) the greatest program in all of history.

What would you rather do? Go nuts and all-in to secure your dream job, or take a Lassiez-Faire attitude and act like the situation is dismal and problematic? This isn't Rod "All-in on historical losses" Rodriguez who didn't give a d@mn about the program, its history or tradition.
