Resident Science Dork
As the name gives away I am a scientist working on my Ph.D. My adviser and I are working in Antarctica from mid-April to mid-June via Santiago, Chile and our port of call in Puenta Arenas, Chile in Patagonia. On the way back to the states in June I was hoping to travel a bit in Chile, working my way back up from Puenta Arenas to Santiago where I'll catch my flight back.
I am into everything (hiking, food, nightlife, history, and well, you know, everything), but my one caveat is that I like to get off the tourist path a bit. I'll likely be traveling alone and will be traveling for 7-10 days.
Has anyone ever traveled in Chile? Any guidance/suggestions would be appreciated.
