If I may ask; what facet of music is his interest? Conducting, performing, singing, playing, writing, etc?
He plays the Cello. I will assume, as I don't talk to him or his coach about music, he is interested in performing, playing, writing and the whole musical theory aspect. I'm told he could have gone to Berkeley School of Music if he wanted to, but last I checked they have no storied football program and basketball team that plays in the Big East.

Nice. He'll do well at ND, big get for Kelly. A not-so-tall but athletic Ben Mauk also florished in Kelly's offense.
Everett did sprout up a little over the past year, he's not at the height most scouting services have him listed. He's right at 6' - 6'1" now and he's filling out too at about 180-185.

Under incredible pressure all night from Jadaveon Clowney and his teammates, Everett went 21-38 for 180 yards and 3 TDs with no turnovers to lead Myrtle Beach to the AAA state championship (27-23).

Great ending to an unbelievable career.

Amen Grad, what an awesome 4 years it has been. He is truly a once in a lifetime player and person.

The best QB on the field today at the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas...kid has a major league cannon and is extremely accurate. Overcame a slow start today to end up with a solid game 9-15 for 80 yds 1 TD.
I'd like to see him and Marquise Williams play against with each other when Marquise is 100%...

Golson set to be named Notre Dame's QB

By Brian Hamilton Tribune reporter 10:28 a.m. CDT, August 23, 2012

The secret, such as it was, didn't last the few remaining hours before it would be unveiled to the world: Everett Golson is expected to be named Notre Dame's starting quarterback Thursday.

Irish coach Brian Kelly planned to announce Golson as the starter after Thursday afternoon practice, but the news slipped through a crack in the Guglielmino Athletics Complex and into common knowledge earlier in the day.

Not that the choice of Golson is much of a surprise. Alhough the kinetic, 6-foot sophomore has zero game experience, his big arm and nimble feet make him the ideal candidate to run and maximize Kelly's spread offense.

Notre Dame confirms starting QB Everett Golson no longer enrolled

Notre Dame confirms to WNDU-TV that starting quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at the university.
Rumors began percolating on social media sites like Twitter late Saturday afternoon.
In a phone interview, university spokesman Dennis Brown told NewsCenter 16, "Federal and school privacy laws preclude us from issuing any further comment at this time."
Golson burst onto the scene in 2012 as Notre Dame's starting quarterback, leading the Irish to an undefeated regular season and a trip to the BCS National Championship game.
Golson's departure leaves Notre Dame with three scholarship players on the roster--Tommy Rees, Andrew Hendrix and Malik Zaire.
Before spring practice, it was announced that Gunner Kiel had decided to transfer from Notre Dame. Kiel is headed to Cincinnati.

ND just went from having really good depth at qb at the beginning of the offseason, to now having only 2 qbs with very limited experience and skill sets that will make the coaching staff have to drastically change the playbook. And now they don't have the luxury of being able to let zaire mature slowly and learn the playbook over a year. He may have to be thrown into the fire immediately to fill the athletic gap that golson has left. Pretty crazy turn of events for kelly & co...

Everett Golson’s return to Irish a ‘surreal’ one

everett-golson.png

For the first time in nearly a year. Everett Golson on Monday took to a football field wearing his Notre Dame practice jersey and helmet. And, for the first time since beingreinstated in mid-December, Golson spoke publicly regarding his banishment as the Irish wrapped up the first day of spring practice.

“I want to say surreal in a sense,” Golson said of his official return. “I felt accomplished for a split moment, that I went through what I went through and now I’m back and I’m moving forward now and still continuing that process of trying to grind and be better.”

Golson’s forced sabbatical was a well-chronicled one. In late May of last year, Golson was suspended from the university for what was described as an academic violation. Speculation subsequently surfaced that cheating was involved, with Golson confirming the rumors by acknowledging he had cheated on a final exam.
