First place at the beginning of March. Not bad for an old guy who never played soccer, rarely watches it, and now knows about 20 players.

Don't let me win this thing, boys. :wink2:

I avoided posting in here as my squad went in complete free fall after sliding out of first & made a monster resurgence back into third after being down I don't even know how many points (It was well over 100). Still down 39, but I'm sure I won't make much of a challenge considering the success of my team hinges entirely on one player, who I captain every week & costs as much as two decent players combined. It was my only gamble left when I used my 2nd Wildcard & has done a pretty good job, although the rest of my team minus 1-2 players every week is deeply concerning. Definitely having much more fun picking from the more obscure players in the league, with what little change I have left over from my big two for my free transfer every week.

Looks like the seesaw battle between Merih & Jake is going to come down to the end. Only seven gameweeks left, so it should be an interesting battle to monitor all the way through. I can't seem to gain any ground, because whenever I have a week better than one, the other always does better than me. Not really much I can do with RVP eating up all of my salary.

Going to be a fight to the finish as expected. Only four gameweeks left & 44 points separates Jake from fifth place. While that seems like a lot, Thursby gained 19 points on him in this past gameweek alone. I somehow vaunted into 2nd with the only horse on my team, RVP. He eats all of my salary up, so I only go where he leads me, especially now that Suarez is probably going to be of no help the rest of the way. To show how weak my team is outside of RVP, my 2nd most expensive player besides the newly departed Suarez is Yaya Toure at 7.9 mil & I have three effing Norwich players. THREE.

I was in ninth place at the beginning of the year. Then I decided, since I was unlikely going to win it, I would go for an all UK team. Luckily I included Gareth Bale.:)

Next season we have to get this going earlier. Hopefully, more people will play.

I was in first or second for pretty much the entire first half of the season, then my team completely shit out. January couldn't have came soon enough & being down over 100 points, I went all in on the captaining RVP train. He himself has got me to within sight of winning this thing, but with how weak the rest of my squad is, I don't think that will be enough. Still was a fun ride though.

This was my first season doing this & while it was downright infuriating halfway through the season, because my team was pitiful at the time, it was quite fun. I just wish there was a way you could do this with settings of your own desire & not what the site deems fit. This would be a lot more fun with the ability to use customized settings.

Just like that Thursby & ALL-UK FC vaunt into first place. Gareth Bale will probably win this whole thing for you by himself. I had him at the beginning of the season, but he didn't really that much for what I had expected from him. He's certainly turned it on of late as Spurs make a push for a UCL spot. Even with three free transfers, I don't think I can make a big enough sacrifice to add him to my squad. Going to have to do some serious budgeting.
