My favorite scene in Braveheart is when Mel comes into the guy's room on horseback and then smashes that guy's face with the mace.
My favorite scene in Gladiator is the opening battle scene with the dog and the ginormous guy who's swinging that ridiculous hammer around.
My favorite scene in Troy is when Brad Pitt slays Hector's sorry behind and then drags him on the back of his chariot.

Braveheart: "I didn't like him...he wasn't right in the head."
Gladiator: I like the fight scene against Tigris of Gaul with the tigers roaming.
Troy: I like the first scene where Achilles kills Boagrius with one blow.

the irony about this movie, is that it is so obviously designed to appeal to red-blooded American men (we are so Roman-Spartan-Germanic-Viking), yet the premise of the movie is about a small group of fighters going up against the world's most powerful army, and not caring about death .... sound familiar? hmmmmmmmmm?

The story of Henry V and the English beating very tall odds in the Battle of Agincourt is indeed one that lives on in the hearts and minds of many.

Oh, and nomination of best done fight scene - the final fight scene in the modern version of Last of The Mohicans.

Im sorry but I have a feeling that this movie will be a big dissapointment...remember how good Alexander looked?

Ugh, I never thought Alexander looked good at all: Oliver Stone and a bunch of Hollywood major-players, that one was destined to be a dud of epic proportions... I love that 300 is poised to be a breakout movie for guys like Gerard Butler and Zach Snyder, with great role-playing actors in Dominic West and David Wenham and Vincent Regan. Frank Miller was very selective about who he turned over the reins to, and I say no way does this one disappoint.

Well given that the Spartans are extinct, I think I like where you're going with your analogy.
