I went nuts on that play. There was no excuse for not seeing Holmes.

IIRC, JZ was rolling and that caused the safety to sag away from Holmes. The throw would have been across the field and a dangerous INT throw.

I could be wrong, but I believe he took the safe play.

I can not wait either. Texas did look good vs a bad team, but still handled them very easily so they should feel good. The kicking game needs work.

The Bucks played a good game and we have to work on our red zone offennse.

That said it will be a great game Saturday.

"We went out there and took care of business," Young said. "It sends a message to whoever was watching, they got to get themselves prepared to play us."

Now there's some bulletin board material. And a stupid statement, if you ask me. Hey, Vince, congrats on running it up on an NAIA school, half of whose members lost their homes in the hurricane last weekend. Yep, you sold me. Boy, if I wasn't fired up to watch us pound UT into the ground before reading this comment, I sure am now.

I get the feeling that the media is going to be pulling out all the stops trying to get quotables from either team all week. Lets just hope our boys keep their wits about them.

He did take the safe play but when you have a guy that wide open he should be able to make that throw and it should be considered a safe play too.

Any throw across the field and across his body is not safe. That safety had time to recover on such a long throw IMO.

We're set this week for this game because if one of our QB's mess up, then we will be able to bring in Smith, Zwick, or Boeckman... who have all proved that they can play... (well maybe not Boeckman), but Vince Young is destined to fail because he runs over all these overrated teams in the Big 12, that have weak defenses. He ran over Michigan last year, but look what Troy Smith did to them. Now Young won't be able to run over Ohio State, and the only way they pull this off is if Young passes effectively, but I just don't see that happening, and as far as their running back, Selmon Young (that is his name, right), he has been praised for being the next Ricky Williams and bullshit to the extreme, but our defense has proved that they can shut down any running back. So when the longhorns come in to the 'Shoe with high hopes and National Championship expectations, well our defense and whatever quarterback Tressel decides to put in, will knock the living shit out of the Longhorns

OSU Student ID

Any of you guys out there willing to help out a desperate UT fan? I have two OSU student tickets to the game this saturday (my girlfriend and I are flying up), and we need Id's to go with the tickets. I e-mailed y'alls athletic department and asked if it would be a problem if the person on the ID didn't match the person with the ticket, and they said no (I can forward you the e-mail as proof). I will pay the $15.00 to replace your BuckID and if need be i can throw a couple more bucks (haha) your way. Let me know if you can help at all. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I'll even wear an OSU shirt or something for an embarrasment factor thing.

I just rewatched the play and I don't think the safety would of gotten there he was too far behind. I would of been the lb or ever was underneath the route b/c it would of been a tough throw to make on the run, but JZ was never even looking up the field.

I guess I see both sides of it. Would it of been a nice gain yes. Did it hurt us no.

Knowing JT, those QBs are coached to not even look back across the field when rolling. I agree it would have been nice, but I'll take the safe play in that situation.

Is Miami of Ohio really that much better than LA-Laff?? I understand that La-Laff isn't that good and we're not gloating about the victory. What do you want Vince to say after the game? Yeah, we ran for over 400 yards, but since it was against UL-Laff it doesnt' matter?? that doesn't instill much confidence in the players who "follow" him. He is the leader of the team, and therefore has to instill a belief in his team mates

I don't doubt that they're that much better, but do y'all honestly feel adequately prepared for the University of Texas??? Neither game prepared either team for what is going to take place next weekend. I cannot wait!!!
