FWIW here is the rating breakdown at each position from CFN's Fiutak:

UT - OSU

QB - 9 - 8
RB - 7.5 - 7.5
WR - 7 - 10
OL - 10 - 8

DL 10 - 08
LB 7 - 10
DB 8.5 - 8.5

ST 8 - 7.5

Offense Avg: 8.4 - 8.4
Defense Avg: 8.5 - 8.8

Dang this is gonna be a good game.

Wow. That is pretty close.

I'm surprised Ohio State only got an 8 for DL. I would have thought that Kudla and Pitcock and Richardson, and the rest would have been 9 or so. But I guess that's why I sit behind this stupid desk, and other people get to create the ratings.

in my biased opp. the only thing that i would change is make the ut qb a 10,

Yeah, no bias there. :roll1:

No way is Young a 10, not until he learns how to throw. Once he gets accurate on a consistent basis, he could be the best in the country.

I wish more voters thought like Fiutak when he said if VY can lead his team to victories over OSU and OU and claim the big12, the heisman will be his no matter what leinart does (or something like that, too lazy to quote).

Similarly, if Teddy Ginn makes an impact at KR, PR, WR, RB and perhaps a few QB & CB highlights, and we get to the rose bowl... he should have as good of a shot at the heisman as anyone from the worshipped USC team.

They are a fantastic team no doubt. But they're gonna be an even worse version of the type of undaunting love OU got (tho they actually deserve it). It will be tough for someone to unseed a trojan from the heisman if they put up merely good numbers. The problem is that no matter how USC plays, if they keep winning they will be #1 despite not having a schedule in the same stratosphere as our team.

He's a great runner, but 18td and 18 pics in 2 years drops him at least to an 8 or 9. Still a stud, though.

Indeed. If Charles Woodson can do it, I'm certain a talent like Ginn could. Obviously it would take an undefeated Buckeye team come early December, and that's a definite possibility.

And that's fair Brutus. I agree. The potential's there to be the "tennest" ten in the country. But there's also a possibility he'll pull a Brad Smith. 9 is a good starting point.

I think VY's 10 rating probably also had a lot to do with the way he tore apart scUM's defense, but those losers can't contain a mobile QB any better than my niece's volleyball team could- 8.5-9 would be a little more accurate. I'm surprised OSU's defensive backs only get an 8.5...must be because of the ? at the second cb position. If Welch or another cb steps up (Jamario O'Neal, maybe?) or they decide to play Ginn more than they're planning to now, OSU's secondary and linebackers will be scary good.

I was checking out some of the other game threads and I don't think any of them have more than 2 pages...I expected to see the scUM thread with a lot of posts, maybe it's because they can't read or type.

Ehorn, you have uttered the forbidden name. You must now pay the penalty. You must go, and bring us.... A SHRUBBERY!

And once you've brought us the shrubbery, you must place it here beside the other one, only slightly higher so we get a two-level effect with a little path running down the middle (A PATH! A PATH!). And once you've done that, you must go into the woods and cut down the mightiest tree in the forest WIIIITH..... A HERRING!
