I am of the exact opposite opinion. Don't rush a soul, just keep your lanes and keep him corraled. Make VY complete passes all the way down the field and beat you with his arm and head. He can't do it consistently without chucking an INT.

Shhhhhhh.....we want more pressure on Vince, giving him more chances to scramble.....

uhhh, "we" as in 'Horns

haha, I'm lovin this!! this is gonna be what the game is like...back and forth chants of eachothers teams....scarlet and grey, and some burnt orange mixed in between
Wrong. It will be all O-H I-O, O-H-I-O, and Go Bucks. the little mumble you hear will be a texas fan trying to get a chant going, and then giving up.

Its been 2 years now and we have lost our defensive Co-ordinators( back to back) which have moved on to head coaching positions. That is saying something of our coaching staff.

And yet our defense is expected to just carry on as if handing off a baton in a 440 sprint in running. This brings tremendous responsabilitys for jim heacock as the now D-Co/ordinator.

Alot of our defensive plays were designed by a man who is now the Director of Football Operations at Ohio State. He was there in the 90's with Jim Tressel at YSU as was Mark Dantonio and Snyder. Jim Heacock and Bob Tucker are very much aware of the defensive strategies that are in place. Bob Tucker is a very important part of OSU football defense as anybody has ever been.

He has a good mind for defenses. After all he was the D-Co/ordinator for earle bruce when Chris Speilman was tearing up the field in 84. The man has been around for along time and i give Ohio State credit to him for bringing alot sucess ot Ohio State football. I just wanted to throw this little bif of inforamation to alot of you in case you were wondering how are defense will be this year under a new guy.

The game with Texas is going to be a tough one as Texas is multi-talented. The linebackers for Ohio State will have high interests in Vince Young as well as thier talented new/young running backs. I think our defense is in place for this matchup between two great rivals of tradition. The only concern is if the Offensive side of the ball can carry thier load of the responsabilities. I hope we see a break/out of some sort, from someone of the offense. Lets hope so.

Around The Horn....

I've NEVER liked this show but flipping thru the channel I saw they were going to talk about OSU/Texas in a minute so I watched it.

Well, none of them had ANY bright/factual comments.

Woody Paige said they'd come in and end our home winning streak, only he was WAY off on the actual streak we have.

Marriotti says "people say they cant go on the road and win, but they did it in the Rose Bowl and VY played out of mind, I see no reason why he wont do it again." Cmon now Marriotti...The Horshoe at night isn't playing on a neutral site and might I add Pasadena is closer to Texas than Michigan. As for why he cant do it again, uhm...maybe our defense being lightyears better than Michigans?

One of the 4 panelists said OSU would win.

The 4th person said "Texas has way more options on Offense than OSU, all you have to do is stop Ted Ginn and thats it!" Im sorry but are Santonio Holmes, Roy Hall, Anthony Gonzalez, Antonio Pittman, and both of our QB's suspended this weekend?

He then went on to blab about the Texas Runningbacks all rushing for over 65 yards in week one...what he FAILED to mention is they were playing the LOWEST RANKED D-1a TEAM IN THE NATION.

Dont get me wrong they are entitled to their opinion...but they obviously know NOTHING about college football, and NOTHING about Ohio State. The one guy that picked OSU used FACTS: Mack Brown can't coach big games, and Texas is the biggest underachieving team in the nation, with the most talent.

Yea have to say, even the one who picked OSU doesn't deserve a job, his 'facts' are hardly better then the other 3 idiots, he just gave the result you wanted to hear. They all suck horribly and you should thank them if you're a betting man, they help keep the OSU lines friendly :)

Why even make it a topic for discussion if no one can make it at all interesting. Sometimes when I watch this show I feel like I could make them all feel like morons. The sad thing is, they're all so full of themselves they'd say Ohio State has never won a big game and stand behind it.

I enjoy PTI much more, at least Wilbon and Kornheiser dont pretend to know a ton about college football and will say as much.
