Heat vs Pacers - 2nd round

Spoelstra can feel his time running out as head coach of this team........I wonder if Pat Riley has Phil Jackson on speed dial

Every year that the Heat don't win a title makes it less likely that they win the next year. This team is so salary crunched that they won't be able to bring in any good young talent until the these contracts run out. Eventually guys are going to realize that the Heat aren't going anywhere and they aren't going to sign there for minimum contracts hoping to win a title. At least they are having a good time in Souf Beach.

BTW if the Cavs don't luck out in the draft and get Davis or decide to draft Drummond I think they need to go after Hibbert hard in FA and focus on wings in the draft. A three headed monster of Thompson, Hibbert and Andy would be bad ass in the post.

If the last four teams left end up being the 76ers, Pacers, Thunder and Spurs, I'll vow to watch every game for the remainder of the playoffs.

I wont watch every game but I'll tune in... if the Heat aint in it i'll be watching.

I'm still hungover, have no voice, and STILL PUMPED ABOUT THE VICTORY!

GO PACERS!

With regards to what I quoted, didn't these motherfucking baby back bitches put a 3 year opt out clause in their contracts? That would be after next season...gonna be fascinating to see what they do.

i don't know about the rest, but lebron can definitely opt out after next season. if the heat don't win a title in that time, I can certainly see him opting out and trying to find somebody's coattails to ride to a title. but it would have to be a team that would have talent, and be able to make salary room for him, and have a coach that wouldn't be too overly demanding.

this whole thing could go one of two ways. either the pacers bounce them and the whole thing implodes, or these douchenozzles actually step up make things happen and get themselves into the NBA finals.

Here they go, constructing excuses...

They got nothing from Wade, who looked disconnected from the game, right up until he got into it with Spoelstra during a timeout in the third quarter. Spoelstra downplayed the incident ("Anyone who [has not] been a coach or a player has no idea of how often those things happen") but hinted that, perhaps, there was something Wade was dealing with.

"He will never make excuses and we won't do that as well," Spoelstra said. "At this point in the season, no one is 100 percent."
"We will never make excuses, but here's our excuse". I'm sure we'll be hearing about LeChoke's elbow, or some shit, soon. :roll1:

What would be absolutely glorious would be for the cHeat to totally implode against Indiana, and do the same next year leaving LeChoke desperate to move on to another coattail. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving develops into one of the top PGs in the league, Tristan Thompson becomes a solid big man, and the Cavs draft some more good talent this summer. They have a nice 2012-13 season, and look like a serious up and coming team. LeChoke, seeing this edition of the Cavs better built to supplement his talents, swallows his pride and attempts to mend fences. Dan Gilbert pretends to do the same. He has a contract drawn up, arranges a meeting, and just as LeChoke reaches for the pen to sign, Gilbert yanks away the contract, tears it up, and tells LeChoke to "go fuck yourself, we're looking for a closer". A pipe dream, I know, but...yeah, would be great.

with LeBron's fragile psyche, you almost wonder if the longer it takes to happen, the more difficult it will become for him.

The biggest problem is all these supposed "shooters" they brought in to be roll players have stunk up the joint this year. Guys like Miller and Battier had just looked like crap.......

If Wade keeps up this act, it wouldn't surprise me if the trade him. But they could also chalk up this implosion to Bosh being injured and not do anything for next season. Still a couple games left before the end of the world as THEY know it. Should be interesting

And then on his way out he would fall down this flight of stairs.

They will never trade Wade. That is his team. What they need to do is add a legitimate Center. Skilled (and marginally skilled) big men have been killing them for two years. Rumors floating that Greg Oden may be interested in going there. God knows if he could stay healthy long enough to contribute, though. They also need help at PG. Chalmers, despite good effort last night, isn't good enough.

Personally, I think the whole "Big three" idea was seriously flawed from the beginning. That league is won with depth...not just stars. The cHeat have zero depth, and they never will.

anyone thinking that mike miller and shane battier were legitimate role players was fooling themselves. the bottom line is that the heat aren't good enough unless they have all 3 guys out there. and even then, they have a tough time with the upper level teams. Lebron and Wade don't mesh well together under normal circumstances, let alone when raptor bosh is sidelined.

now apparently chalmers is banged up as well.
