My wife share's her unique name with 7 others: Ada Dick. Well, now Ada Mayock. I tried to get her to keep her maiden name and use mine pre hyphen. She balked at that. Ada Mayock-Dick. I'd be the envy of all the draftnics.

not sure this thing is overly accurate. says im the only person in the country wtih my name. im the III so... while i must conceed it is very possible both my grandfather and father are dead as i haven't spoken to either in about 8 years. still, i have to think this is not completely accurate.

also of note...

There are 4 people in the U.S. named Sharyn Peters.
There are 415 people in the U.S. named Sharon Peters.

It seems it does not actually compare your name to a database of names.

The site looks at the census info regarding how common the first name is and how common the last name is, then combines the rate of occurrence for each of these to calculate an approximate occurrence rate of the combined names, then multiplies that by the US population to get a number.

Q: Does the program really know how many people have the same name as me?
No. The program returns an estimate based on available data. It should be considered a "ballpark figure". It will usually return an answer in the right general area, but the chances of the figure being exactly right are very low.
A full discussion of the accuracy of the program may be found here.

There are 13 people named Harold Butt -- including at least one here in Columbus, whom I pranked ALL THE TIME growing up!
