Isaiah Pead (official thread)

:yow2: That's one of the sickest recruiting videos I've ever seen. Behind Bush and Mcguffie, it's right up there. He pead on everybody. No matter what position he played. He's like Bugs Bunny......he could probably throw the ball 100 yards and catch it himself in the end zone. He's ridiculously underrated. He's better than Jonas Gray, IMO. I'd be salivating if you didn't offer and he ended up at Wisconsin.

I am sick of the competition talk. He is a league similar to that in Cleveland where all the stars from Glenville transfer in from. If he is in a crappy league then his line is crappy too. Therefore what could he do for a "good" team with a good line. He would of made Bo Delande look like a punk if they both played for Hilliard Davidson, I can tell you that much.

Dare we say(in hush, hush tones), Ginn-like?
And McGuffie had a much better line blocking for him!

I dont think his game looks anything like Ted Ginn's... He looks like a poor mans Reggie Bush.. without the top end speed... Of course Reggie is the best player I've ever seen when it comes accelerating out of his cuts, so there is no comparison there... But anyway, he's a very exciting player, hope he impresses at camp

McGuffie also went up against much better competition and also put up even more ridiculous stats than Pead. McGuffie ran for 3,000 yards and 40+ TD's this past season. McGuffie also has much better top-end speed. Pead is definetly a slasher with great moves, but in terms of pure unadulterated speed he can't touch McGuffie let alone Ginn.
I knew the UM-McGuffie camp would show up here in Pead's thread to defend their man's honor.

So I've been going through this whole thread really fast... so I'm guessing if tOSU offers, he'll accept immediately?

In that case, I hope you don't lol We really could use his speed at Pitt. Although what scares me as a Pitt fan, is that he seems to be a perfect fit at WVU. Seems like a Steve Slaton type of player.

It would be hard for him to pass up but I also think he would still look around a bit to make sure it is the right fit. Having said that, I don't see him getting an offer at this point. The situation is certainly fluid but it's not like OSU has had a lot of success with kids coming out of the Columbus City League lately...

Scout (Free)

From Bill Greene, Isaiah says he was not at his best at tOSU, but is still hoping for an offer.
FWIW, that might be coming up as free acess this week - through the 4th of July at any rate - because of the premium access the OSU Scout site is running.
I think it will revert to premium access only on July 5th.
