That makes Jacksonville 2-6. I'm pretty sure I heard numerous people talking about them not winning a single game. Even if mostly hyperbolic, nobody gave them a chance for 4 wins on the season which is the pace they're on now. It could definitely all fall completely apart but they could get to 4 or even 5 which would be a hell of a job considering that roster and any perceivable off-field issues. Already surpassed the last seasons win total. Not bad

The Jacksonville Jaguars stunned AFC East-leading Buffalo in Week 9, and they have a chance to put together a winning streak for the first time since 2019 Sunday at the Indianapolis Colts. Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer shared a tidbit he learned from longtime former Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz when discussing the power of momentum.

“Lou Holtz shared with me when I was a younger coach that momentum with a younger team is worth 14 points a game,” Meyer said during Friday’s press conference. “Momentum with a mature team, this is with the college level, I’m still learning the pro level, but it is worth seven points with a veteran team. What would it mean for Jacksonville? What would it mean for our stadium the following week? What would it mean for, most importantly, our locker room that three-fourths of those guys were part of a 20-game losing streak, would be incredible.”

Bowling Green's 2001 coaching staff:

Tim Banks, Cornerbacks
Tim Beckman, Defensive Coordinator/Safeties
Gregg Brandon, Off. Coord/Wide Receivers
John Bowers, Linebackers/Recruiting Coord.
Stan Drayton, Special Teams Coord./RB's
John Hevesy, OL/Tackles and Tight Ends
Dan Mullen, Quarterbacks
Greg Studrawa, OL/Guards and Centers
Mike Ward, Defensive Line

So, Gregg Brandon, who is now at the Colorado School of Mines, and Stan Drayton, who is one week into a complete rebuild of the mighty Temple Owls. Everybody else is a career assistant, coordinator, or failed head coach. Hell, Beckman has been unemployable the last seven years after he got booted from Illinois for, drumroll please ... allegations of player abuse!
