After the game today that went into OT, all i got to say is how can Kobe not be MVP? He has single-handedly changed this series, and obviously won that game for them.

Overall it has been a very physical series and close games every night. Kobe hasnt scored 30 in a game in the series yet. Lakers are playing a team game and Kobe loves it.

Unbelievable finish. Lakers down 5 in the closing seconds of regulation, and then down 3 in the closing seconds of overtime. Both times Lakers get the ball away from Nash (steal in regulation, jump ball in OT). Kobe hits the big shots.

I'd like to see a Clippers/Lakers series.

If Kobe played like this all season he would have had a chance at MVP. He's doing a good Lebron impression in the playoffs. I'm not a fan, but that was a very exciting end of the game. I'm liking Nash not playing well since it will give Lebron a better chance at MVP in the future if Nash falls flat in the playoffs.

DING DING DING, Kobe has not been playing the style of play all year that he has been playing in the playoffs. He has been trying to get his teammates involved and not been taking all the shots.

Also his teammates have really stepped their games up in the playoffs.

I am not trying to take anything away from Kobe, but he has been playing like a totally different player in the playoffs.

Bryant raped Nash at the end of regulation.
:slappy: you might want to save your off-base comments for times when TNT isn't replaying that steal. Smush might have brushed his knee, that's about it on contact. Lemme know when you figure out what bryant did to nash on that play, other than owning his team at the other end.

The NBA's quirky seedings are helping the Lakers. They got the 7 seed, and didn't have to play the second best team in the West (Dallas) since Dallas didn't win their division. If they finish off Phoenix, it looks like they'll get to play the Clippers in the second round.

The Clippers were the 6 seed, but will probably advance because they had home court over the Nuggets, who got the #3 seed due to winning their division. The Lakers technically won't have home court in the next round if they face the Clippers, but tell that to most of the fans in the Staples Center in games 1 and 2 of that series. :tongue2:

The Lakers would only have to face either San Antonio or Dallas to make the finals, since the brackets make the top two teams in the West play each other in the second round.

You're right on, Hawg. Kobe's doing his best LeBron imitation and
doing it gret. I might add.

His teammmates are involved and playing very well, that's why they're up 3-1. You might want to see the Lakers win the series before you all start blowing Kobe.

Actually, I do want them to win so they can get dumped by the Clip in round two.
