LaTwan Anderson (official thread)

I get the feeling waiting too long won't be a problem with him now that he's at Glenville. Glenville players always wait till the end to commit, so despite what he says about leaders, etc...this one is going the distance and the fact he's at Glenville now can only help us.

I don't think we are waiting too long and think that Andersons recruitment should be looked at MUCH differently than anyone elses, in my opinion.

This comes with little inside information, but I have to believe that the coaching staff has told Anderson and Coach Ginn what it's going to take for him to get an offer. There is no question in my mind that his talent on the field should get him an offer but he needs to prove that he's mature enough off the field to get his ticket in to C-Bus.

The relationship between Coach Tress and Coach Ginn is going to play a huge role in where he goes. I would expect that if Coach Ginn gives our coaching staff the green light in a few weeks/months and says that he has made the changes our staff was looking for, then Coach Tress will pull the trigger.

Bottom line, again IMO, Anderson knows what he needs to do. I really believe he knows there is an offer with his name on it, if he proves himself off the field. I wouldn't even be shocked if the delay in his offer is something that Coach Tress and Coach Ginn have talked about and that Coach Ginn wants the offer to be delayed to help motivate Anderson this upcoming season and the first part of his Senior year...???

Anderson has really become a kid that I love to watch play the game! The kid is a FREAK! I wish him the best and I really hope we get to see him dress in Scarlet and Gray for the next few years!

The staff obviously has guys on their board at DB they rate higher than Anderson and/or Lewis that they are prepared to wait on...

Off the top of my head the uncommitted guys include Joyner, Bryant, Shaw, Hagan, Grimes and Mitchell (and possibly Haggins depending on position). I think they feel REALLY good about two guys on that list and feel pretty good about one other.

Not giving this kid an offer is driving me insane . With Latwan this year and Mike Edwards last year and Cordale Scott the year before . I think JT might be loosing his grip on the Tarblooders .
Latwan doesn't have an offer, Edwards didn't have an offer, Scott is the only one on that list that JT actually lost out on.

Last year he landed the two guys from Glenville that he offered, Johnathan Newsome and Marcus Hall, and he should land the lone one he's offered this year in Christian Bryant.

With John Newsome, Marcus Hall, Jermil Martin, and Jermale Hines to name a few, I beg to differ. JT is doing fine, but just because they go to Glenville doesn't mean they always HAVE to be Buckeyes. And let's not forget that JT and the staff have started making more of a push down south into TX and FL(to name a few) which takes away some of the schollies for the Glenville kids. So instead of getting Edwards we got Travis Howard, and instead of going after Anderson(which we still might) we go after Lamarcus Joyner. I don't think anyone should complain about that outcome.

Rivals shoots him up in the rankings and we're suddenly idiotic for not offering him. It sounds like JT has a plan, we're in great shape with Hagan and Bryant and we'll wait on LJ as long as we have to. No reason to stockpile the position.

Is anybody familiar with the DB talent in the 2011 Ohio Class?

This is as awesome and pathetic as the belief that reptilian shape-shifters are controlling the world's governments. This stuff is interesting for the wrong reasons. I love it.
