Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I don't know that you "have to surround LeBron with shooters" but it helps. There are other options, such as pushing the ball, and surronding LeBron with legitamate finishers. While Rose isn't the regular season shooter Mo Williams is, come playoff time they're about the same. But Rose finishes and gets to the hoop at about the same level Rondo does. And trading Deng should not be a problem if Chicago is where Bosh wants to play. They're both 4's essentially, so if Chicago were to land Bosh, losing Deng is not an issue. It actually eliminates a PT problem.

A roster of:

Rose
Whoever the 2g is...call it Flip Murray right now
LeBron
Bosh
Noah

Thats a good looking starting 5. You're missing shooting but the ability to run and defend should not be a problem. Noah is one of the best open court centers in the NBA, Bosh can get up and down, LeBron is a freak, and Rose is prob the fastest player in the league with the ball in his hands. I just have a really hard time seeing Cleveland holding onto LeBron when you look at some of his options froma roster stand-point.

That's a nice story. How are they going tp get bosh exactly? Toronto doesn't want deng and Chicago has no other assets to trade nor the cap room to sign him.

Colangelo wants good young players and first round picks. If Chicago packages Deng with a Taj Gibson/roster fillers to make salary match, and then give them a boat-load of future draft picks, it might happen. Toronto is seriously listening to trade offers from Miami which revolves around Beasley and Mario Chalmers. Don't know why you'd listen to Miami for that, but not Chicago in regards to Luol Deng?

Miami radio station now reporting Wade and LeBron talked to Boozer about playing in Miami...LeBron is "alledgedly" OK with reuniting with Boozer if that is how the chips were to fall. The sad thing is Cleveland might have their championship if Boozer didn't dupe them years ago.

Because deng sucks, is often injured, and his contract is an albatross. Toronto wants to build around bargnani with cheaper young talent. It takes more than taj Gibson and some late 1sts to make that happen. That's why they might listen to Miami. But if the heat traded those two why would anyone want to go there and play along side street free agents?

Like it or not, Cleveland actually has the best assets for a sign and trade with Toronto since the raptors love varajao, hickson and eyenga, and delonte west saves them $5 million.

Doesn't sound like Bosh wants to play in Cleveland. The issue for Toronto is, Bosh holds the leverage, and they don't want to let him walk for free. If Bosh says Miami/Chicago in a sign and trade, its up to Colangelo to get what he can. I trust Chris Broussard on ESPN more than anyone and think he's pretty tapped into the situation...he now feels like Cleveland is the frontrunner after thinking it was Chicago for the longest time. The issue with Cleveland is the roster, and being hamstrung by players who don't want to play in Cleveland, like Bosh. He mentioned Cleveland having the better pieces to trade, but that Bosh would rather sign elsewhere, than accept a sign and trade to Cleveland. Bosh's camp is pushing Chicago or Miami.

you trust the same chris broussard that insisted the "summit" took place in miami while wade was in chicago and lebron in NY. or the broussard that has said in the last 24 hours that miami, chicago and then cleveland are the leaders to land lebron. bosh wants to play with lebron, him not wanting to go to cleveland is just another red herring in this whole process. the fact that you're trusting espn is troublesome.

looks like shaw will be the coach for the cavs...i like it...i dont think this will have any positive or negative impact on lebron
It's most definitely a positive. He's a well respected coach with rings who has actually played in the NBA. LeBron has said he wants to play for a former player. I would lay dollars to donuts that any hire made was LeBron approved. I'm not saying it's gonna convince him to stay, but if you think Gilbert and co. are making any moves without consulting LeBron first, well, I disagree.

LeBron will stay in Cleveland if he thinks he can. His first priority is winning a title, but that's followed very closely by winning a title in his quasi-hometown. If he had a choice of being 100% guaranteed of winning a title on a non-Cavs team and 80% chance on a Cavs team, he'd think long and hard about it. Hiring the kind of coach that Lebron likes/wants will, in my mind, ensure he stays in Cleveland. Many of us here agree that had Cleveland had a solid head coach, we'd have at least one, if not multiple, NBA titles already.

bring Lebron and Johnson to the bulls....no questions this team dominates....DOMINATES

Rose
Johnson

Noah

joe johnson is rumored to be signing a 6 year max deal with atlanta at midnight of the start of FA. Even if he's going in a sign and trade, it can't be to Chicago.
