Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Apparently the shoe thing was a hoax that I was stupid enough to fall for. I retract my criticism. Lebron announced a while ago that he would no longer address free agency questions. That is the appropriate stance.

I will now go back to the regularly scheduled program already in progress.

And does it help to hold your franchise and your fans hostage, not knowing if you'll be here for the long run?

I think its the fans who are holding ourselves hostage, wanting him to make up his mind just so they can relax. I say be happy we got him now, who knows where he will end up. But right now, we're a force in the league, and trying to win that gold ball.

Another sign that Lebron will still be in Cleveland next year:

LeBron Files Paperwork To Change Number From 23 to 6; Says It's In Deference To Jordan - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

I appreciate the talk about 23 should be retired everywhere, but the main reason for a guy like Lebron to change his number is to sell more jerseys. If he was planning on playing someplace else why bother with the number change since he would be selling thousands of new jerseys anyway? If he did go to another team I wouldn't think he would have to file paperwork at all. It isn't like he could wear 23 in Chicago.

Which is why he changed his number. So that he will be #6 when he comes to Chicago next season. He does not want to deal with it then.

Yes I may be delusional about this, but I can still hope!!!

They said on Mike and Mike this morning that this paperwork is not a requirement to change numbers if you are changing teams. You only have to file a number change request if remaining with the same team.

My friend sent me this, I have no link.

"He's a good friend," said McGrady, who sat out the fourth quarter for the third straight game. "He wanted to see me back on the basketball court and congratulate me on being back. I sent him an e-mail that said: 'I'm in the Big Apple. I'll see you here next season.' "

LeBron's response was "LOL," and after last night's Knicks no-show, he may be laughing at the prospect.

"In that situation, when I turn the corner and I see the rim, it doesn't matter if there's a guy in front of me or a guy behind me, I'm going to attack the rim at it's highest level,'' James said. "And that's what I did tonight. I knew I got around him and I didn't believe he was going to jump. But once I saw him out of the corner of my eye, I decided to jump just a little higher.''

Just decided to jump a little higher? My God.

Yeah, LeBron definitely ate his wheaties yesterday.

Yeah, anyway, kind of agree with some others here, the Bulls played pretty well... lots of energy, all that crap... obviously, you can always get more shots to fall, but, yeah, they just can't answer the array of weaponry the Cavs have.

I do look forward to watching Noah's skinny ass get beat around by the Cavs bigs for a couple more games....
