Legit shot at final 4?

I was listening to the Scott Van Pelt show on ESPN today and they had a chance to discuss their teams they feel would be in the final 4. Both of them mentioned Ohio State and mentioned because Evan Turner is that good. So my question is, do you feel there is a legit chance we could make it to the final 4? I really hope we do, but anybody that knows march madness knows you need to have depth and we are only playing 6 right now
 
With our reliance on the outside game, we have a shot against anybody IMO. It would take perfect alignment of the stars and the moon, but it is possible. We definitely have the PG play that is of the utmost importance.

Its all about matchups if we get good matchups we can make it to the final four. When we are playing are our best we could beat anyone, we just need better defensive coverage of 3s and a more inside offensive game. :osu:

Foul trouble or injury = tourney run over.

I think the Elite 8 is the ceiling for this team, and that's best case.

We would have to get very favorable, and I mean favorable, matchups to make it to the final four. As mentioned above the lack of an inside game will hurt us and we will have to play at our very best and maybe we could make it to the Elite Eight. There is just too much parity at the high levels for us to make it to the Final Four.

I think we have a shot. If ET puts this team on his back, they could win the whole damned thing. That being said, I think we're a legit Sweet Sixteen team, a probable Elite 8 team and an outside shot at the Final Four team.

I'd be both surprised and not surprised. Turner is good enough to get us there, especially if one of Buford or Diebler is shooting well, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Elite 8 is more realistic.

We have several weaknesses to adress before we could get to the final4. Besides the ones already mentioned, teams with good defensive guards that could shut down Deibs and Buford could hurt us.
I would love to see us get there.

I would feel a little more confident if we had some inside presence. With the lack of depth in the low post, if the outside shot is not falling, Buckeyes are 2 and done imo. The tourney is all about matchups and I think if they get matched up against anyone w/ a talented frontline that has any type of depth we are in trouble on the boards.

The Buckeyes are more athletic than every team in the Big 10, that will be neutralized w/ their lack of size underneath in the tourney.

I would say for it to happen both Buford and Diebler need to shoot well. In addition, Lauderdale needs to stay on the floor (i.e. out of foul trouble).

Who knows, stranger things have happened.

we have a shot ONLY as long as buford, diebler, lauderdale help him out offensively. ET makes everyone else around him look good when he spreads the ball around, and we hit our shots. Dal just needs to stay out of foul trouble, because we really were attacked inside against iowa when he was on the bench with foul trouble. i would say we atleast hit the sweet 16, and possibly elite 8. but final four really does rest on everyone else BUT turner imo
